Update for Case #715394 - "ReportWriter - Column spacing gone after upgrade" Case CLOSED. I (Shane) have submitted this feature request to our development team as requested as the functionality that you require is currently not in our product. p.s. The issue occurred independent of the browser (firefox) or IE version (8,…

See attached which includes all of the screen shots. This time, it used the IP address in the URL instead of the DNS name. p.s. What a pain to insert some images!! I hope you can read them (they look small to me). First of all, it works different than when you initiallly create a discussion because the create adds it as an…

Hmmm... It didn't work again this morning. I'm using IE v 8.0. I already reset my password for today, so I'll see how it goes tomorrow. I don't see any other options in IE to clear the cookies at the end of each day.

* For my understanding, even though this issue is only occuring sporadically (once in a month or so), changing the PollMethod may help. We are using SNMPv2c. From the article link above, it sounds like this option might cause other problems (increased polling requests). Can't SW determine it didn't get a full list of…

Another bit of info. I have 5 component monitors for this app, which polls 7 process. There are 343 processes running on the machine (right now).

That's where I am putting the credentials, under the another user. But if we use an NT account (either local or domain), the test button fails. Maybe it has something to do with our https solarwinds site, using card credentials, etc. If we use an Orion account, the test button works, but the pdf report contain the error…

NPM 10.7 incorporates this feature. NPM 10.7 RC1 Now Available

Yes, it's WMI. I can run the process view from the console & it displays fine. I have an alert that triggers if the CPU polling data has been missing for > 60 minutes, and this particular backup server is consistently alerting. Today it failed at 5:31 am (for 253 minutes), 1:48 pm (for 35 minutes), 3:25 pm (still active).…

With NPM 11.0.1 (or whenever it changed), reports are no longer scheduled as a task, so this solution no longer works. . I'm still working on getting mine to work using another method. See: How to run a report from an Alert trigger.

Hey guys! Would you mind voting on this idea http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3102 requesting a more friendly solution? Thanks for this workaround!!

I'm trying to do the same thing and I'm trying to avoid going down the custom sql path (in the alert). Maybe we can build upon adatole's suggestion and schedule a job to automatically update the Node's custom field from the group data. The update sql looks like this: /* Set all values to NO */ UPDATE Nodes SET…

I do not have another browser available. There's obviously a problem with this particular class, as the other classes worked fine. Here is the error again. (It would be nice to be able to 'paste' a picture, instead of saving & importing.) .

I realize now this is unrelated to the original request, although we were getting the same error. Anyways, here is what our programmer did to correct the error. "In the below image, I drew a box around what was causing the error. The code that is populating my name is located on the page load of my site master. The issue…

One more thing, when I was getting the 200 error, the page displayed OK for me from IE, but I found 2 links/tabs on the page that would throw an error. I think at least one of them was the same error as above.

Thanks @DonPepe. Here's where I'm at: Case #543514 as of 11-07 at 11:43, we're getting this error ("FAIL: Failed to convert Url url/report name .... 401:The requested resoure requires user authenticiation. This is an error returned by the Web server, not by the HTML to PDF converter. Please try to visit the same Url with…

Not sure if this will help, but to troubleshoot, I installed the Undp (earlier in this thread), the NetSNMP (transforms) TEST value is correct (= 16.17) when I run a test on the device (during the UnDP editting/test screens). However, the Node Details (Universal Device Poller Status resource) it's not the same value (it's…

Here is the final alert that will detect a reboot of a production node and send an email to the email(s) assigned to the node. [p.s. I tried to use a variable, instead of "60" seconds, but I couldn't select the interval from the Alert Definition table ("SELECT ...from AlertDefiniition where AlerName = ${AlertName}") (It…

OK. But a word of caution: I had it this way, but the CPULoad_Detail only contained x days worth of data. So, after "x" days elapsed, the node was no longer in the results. (I think x was 7 days. CPULoad contained a year.) To get around some of your concerns with no CPU, I did have in my where clause .... NOT(ObjectSubType…

I'm having the same issue.

In the body of the email, I am getting .... "Enable JavaScript to login" when using e-mail web page. On Server 2012 using IE 10. I am able to open IE and run the report from the server. So, is this setting in IE or IIS?
-
Since we weren't getting any SNMP results, we rebooted the server. This reset the alert. We assume there was a hung process (or SNMP wasn't returning the results) which was causing the false alert. Before removing the UnDP's I compared the CPU %'s to the ones showing on the web page's "Min/Max/Average of Average CPU Load".…

Now on IE 11. Still broke. Anyone have any ideas? More info: Report Heading: Is wrapping and is a larger font. Heading Alignment: If I recall correctly, I thought the column headings used to be centered and the data was formatted according to the alignment option specified in the Orion Report Writer. (But I could be…

My sorting & TOP xx issue was resolved in this thread. Re: SWQL order of operation

Did you ever submit an idea to either create a report to add to the view or update the events to include component information? If you do, let me know and I'll vote for it!
-
The workaround doesn't seem to be working. Of course when I saved it, all the triggered events were deleted. I don't have a flag to disable the trigger actions, just the entire alert. I'm using V2012.2.1. Is that something available in a newer version? I guess I could monkey around with changing the alert time window or…

Thank you! I was going to put this under a feature request, but I didn’t see how I could put it under the Alert Lab. I didn’t think it applied to any other group.

Thanks. I'll talk with our vSphere administrator. So is there a way I can pull the battery level into SolarWinds?
