Yeah that did not pull anything into the alert. Here is the event log in Orion - I wonder if some SWSQL magic would work.
-
I never even thought of Teams and we have an alert channel setup as well hahahahaha. I will dig into this and do that it makes quite a bit of sense. Thanks!!
-
Thanks for the input!!!!

So the SWQL query continues with more 'stuff' after what I posted. When I add the FROM Orion.Accounts it breaks the report. If you look at the link above you will see the entire query.

Good to see the phone call was just something to make you feel good. Support has not changed a bit. I am having an issue with AppInsights for IIS where it won't install I opened a ticket and the person that finally grabbed it the next day sent me the same links I tried the day before. And If I am told to upload diagnostics…

I received an email from Corby Hoggan that our account holds 'Strategic Account Status' and we are granted a 'dedicated point of contact to ensure you have everything needed to successfully and seamlessly monitor your environment'. I received one of these before but I think I scared off the sales person. I will let…

Wow. I thought I had it bad. I am starting to train some of my team members on SolarWinds and one asked why we have SAM maintenance due in Orion when he logs in. I told them its a new feature of SolarWinds - support could not figure it out so hopefully in the next update it will clear it out. We all had a good laugh.…
-
Yeah and I enjoy forking over 30K for support each year to figure out how to get support. That is a load of BS so public shaming it is..
-
I have stopped opening tickets online altogether because you usually don't get any kind of support on them or if you do its a day later from some guy on the other side of the globe that does not even work the hours you are working. My list of things that either SolarWinds support made WORSE or has absolutely no clue how to…

Sounds like most of my support with SolarWinds over the past 6 months. The L1 techs are about L.5 techs and really don't know the answers and you get put on hold or it takes a week to get a real answer. We just got our renewal as well and I am holding off on renewing for now to see if support is going to stay like this or…
-
Yeah we just have one poller right now.
-
So why is it not monitoring the hard drive volumes? When I ran a test of the alert none of the drives would show up as needing an alert. This is a bit of an issue because the drive ran out of space and no one was alerted.
-
So my issue was tied to some database issues I had when I migrated my Solarwinds App and Database to new servers. Three months to the date of my migration to new servers the Solarwinds DB stopped working nicely. I had one of the DBAs on my team have a look and they cleared up the issue. So unfortunately I probably won't be…

Ticket open. Let's see where this ends up.
-
Thanks! Yeah I was perplexed that they all had pretty much stopped and all I had to do was give it a good kick. I will do some searching on Thwack on this issue. Thanks!
-
I tried doing that search and it did not come up but will give it another try. I am running 2019.2 HF3 so maybe I do not get that until 2019.4? Or maybe my brain is just misfiring. lol
-
Thank you for the suggestion. I have not touched NetPath yet so looks like time to try something new in Solarwinds!!
-
Are there any kind of exam guides besides reading the Admin guide? I just took the test and pretty much studied everything that was not on it. LOL
-
Oh yes I went over that list and a few others. Then I opened a ticket and support sent me the same list. I then escalated the ticket and spoke to someone that knew what they were talking about and we got the issue fixed. The problem was when WinRM was enabled for the IP address the thumprint of the SSL cert has spaces in…

Thank you!
-
Thanks you! This is exactly what I am looking for!
-
Ahh ok. So a bit more background on this issue for some reason a few weeks back the alert stopped reporting on status so I opened a ticket with support and we switched how the alert was configured and changed it to object. I will have a look and see if that fixes it.
-
Yes i can. So the top image the top alert in my post and the bottom image is the bottom one. And thanks!!
-
To build upon this - I am running the query ActionDefinitions to try to find out what email address each alert goes to. We are going to be moving our current SolarWinds install so I need to let users that would receive alerts when the system is down for the move. I ran that query and it listed most of the configured alerts…
-
I will give this a try. You have been more helpful than solarwinds support on this!!!
-
I have been using the SLA report. One issue I have is I am not super famliar with report writing so I am trying to get up to speed right now. I was modifying the SWQL query to try to grab different times and dates and I was not getting anywhere. To make a long story short I got an email and for server uptime over the past…

DHCP Server is setup in a failover cluster with a 50-50 load balance between each site. Can we monitor a DHCP cluster at all?
-
Right now we are doing nothing I am waiting to hear back from Solarwinds support but I figured I would ask here because I usually get my answers faster from Thwack. I will wait until I hear back from them. Thanks!
-
Yeah I think this will be easiest to setup right now. I am looking at a few of the other posts about making a custom property and managing it that way. I will see if I can figure this out and get it setup correctly. Thanks!

Well when your ISP schedules some maintenance at 2AM I really don't want to wake up and manually shut things off is the main reason for this.
