Yes, using XML. https://support.ipmonitor.com/helps/acefe8d2dcff4150aceae48cbb14b1f3.aspx

Not exactly an Undo but after you have saved the Map once - you can click on File > Revert to Saved Copy to Undo it. As the OAG suggests - "save often during map creation" http://www.solarwinds.com/NetPerfMon/SolarWinds/OrionAdministratorGuide.1.104.htm

what is the device in question?
-
There is a nice Universal Device Poller tutorial here.

We currently have NPM 8.5, and are looking at NCM 5.0. From what I can gather it looks like I need to be at NPM 9.0 for the products to integrate fully. The question I have is from the database perspective. We currently have NPM utilyzing a MS-SQL database on a SQL clustered environment. When we go to install NCM, will the…

On your Orion server check the latest Maintenance log file, C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\swdebugMaintenance.log

Michael- Cirrus is doing a Get Bulk request for all of the devices at once. There is not a way to change how many devices Cirrus sends the Get Bulk request on. You can only adjust the time out or do what you have already done by breaking up the jobs.
-
Do you have double quotes around the program name? I know that SP3 addressed the issue so there should not be any required, however you might try adding them to see what happens.
-
Try installing the 8.5.1 version and see if you still have the same problem.
-
Thanksnjoylif for reporting this, we are looking into this now.
-
It could be several things, polling intervals being one of them. Here is a walkthrough to help troubleshoot support.solarwinds.com/.../ProblemDetail.cfm
-
You might try adding Tabs as in this post.
-
Not a global setting as of yet but you can use the Time of Day tab within the Advanced Alerts editing tab- to have your alerts not be triggered between certain hours.
-
Have you tried the DB name? Type ServerName\sqlexpress in the SQL Server field on the Login to SQL Server dialog.
-
How do I get the this alert to clear without moving the device from the custom poller? There are two things you can do. The first one would be to open the Advanced Alerts, choose configure, disable the alert that triggered this, hit done, once back on the main screen hit F5 refresh, and this should clear. Then you can go…

S. Looking into this for you, not sure of a solution at the moment.
-
If the Hotfix did not work I would encourage you to submit a support ticket. One suggestion would be to try to add the device through it’s hostname, then once added, go into the devices Node Details and change the IP Address to read correctly.
-
Yes 2008 is supported. We need to update that form on the ticket submission page. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
-
Have you tried limiting the account based on custom properties? www.solarwinds.com/.../CLA-final.html
-
Yes, that looks correct.
-
Yes, creating a File Analysis rule you should be able to do this. http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/1878/File+Age+reporting+in+Profiler.
-
yes, using the database manager, double-click on the nodes table and run a query. Then under File - click Export - and it will give you choices on which format to save (xls, csv,) - and also give you the choices on which fields you want to export. You will need to uncheck the options that you do not want.
-
Just to clarify - these are duplicate nodes and not duplicate interfaces correct? If these were interfaces being duplicated, this can occur due to the re indexing of that device. Orion will not auto-remove the previous locations of the interface, it will simply add the "newer" ones. You would then need to manually remove…
-
Sure. Using the Custom Property Editor, (under Advanced Features) there is already an property called Building. Just add it to the database and then populate the fields. You will then be able to sort by that property. Below are some more resources... www.solarwinds.com/.../Orion8CustomProperties.html…
-
Currently not at this time, however you can customize Tooltips within Network Atlas as demonstrated here.
-
Could you post a screenshot of what the chart looks like? Reply ->Click on the options tab and Upload File-
-
Open up the Custom Property Editor and make sure your yes/no properties all have a value set. Once that's done, try reopening the UnDP. If that doesn't clear up the issue, I'd open a support ticket.
