Try turning it off and on a few times and then add a new node with it on. It sounds far fetched, but I think it will work. I'll do some more research on my end to see if this is a known issue.

There is no template to accomplish the auto-selection of listed resources. Use the discovery tool method as above to see if this gets you closer to what you want.

Also try David's suggestions here and that could rule out some more things.

You need at least v9 to get the right click RealTime integration.

Under the DB temp directory (last 24hrs.) and also DB store - in the installation directory.

1. That is correct. 2. 100 is a general suggestion. Try increasing the number in small increments. Observe how the memory usage is affected by looking at the process Syslogd_Service.exe.

Since it is no longer supported that is probably why its not available. All of the hotfixes were rolled into 8.1- Assuming your maintenance is valid you should be able to upgrade quite easily. There is still a tutorial on how to upgrade from 8.0 to 8.1. www.solarwinds.com/.../SolarWindsOrion8.0to8.1upgrade.html However…

What is the device model, etc? This can be caused by a faulty SNMP agent. There could be several reasons really. A diagnostics collection might be in order to help determine what is happening.

Yes, it looks like some registry entries hanging around. I would open a ticket if possible.

It could just be an anomaly perhaps. Try running through the configuration wizard to refresh things.

Might have a possible resolution for you here. To clear this issue, re-install version 8 then uninstall it again. This time when it asks you do you want to remove unused files, click no. Once the uninstall is completed, install version 9. Let me know this helps.

Yes, SQL Agent is not a part of SQL Express. If you want automated backups you might try the management tool, SQL Server 2005 Management Studio Express Edition (SSMSE) I've attached that document here for you- or you would need to use the Windows Scheduled Tasks to execute a backup script using the SQLCMD program with a…

Another suggestion to try: Do a “backup now”, just in case. Export all the Monitors, and move that text into a editor capable of doing regular expression search & replace (and *very* long lines). Remove whitespace to make search / replace easier. Replace !!regex!! \>[ \r\n\t]+\< with >< Next, ensure that the exclusions…

If you have have current maintenance then your account will reflect the latest update and be provisioned for it so always keep track of those previous installers for older versions.
