In 9.0. To hide a module from a user, edit that user account in the website. Expand <account name>'s VoIP Monitor Settings (or Wireless or whatever) and set the VoIP Summary View to 'None'. If you hide all of the installed modules from a user, they won't see the Modules bar at all. For the Menu bar you can customize the…

Yes you will need a new license with a new install. Open a ticket and request a license reset prior to doing this. As for the Database, NetFlow statistics generate a high volume of data. We recommend that you have the database on a separate server from the Orion server.

...and this is just check marking the Website box? Does it ever ask if you want to use the existing website?

To put a custom property into a email message, use a SQL Statement i.e. ${SQL:Select "Your Custom Property" from Nodes WHERE NodeID='${NodeID}'} Second to put a link into a message, http://Your_Server/NetPerfMon/View.asp?View=NodeDetails&NetObject=N:${NodeID} You can also direct link to any resource, like volume details,…

The larger problem is comparing counters in Orion to those found in virtual center. Virtual Center has a counter that is called Active Memory, this appears to be the same as the Real Memory Counter, but niether of these are even close to the total memory used. A customer provided the attached word document that compares…

There is kind of a way, but is not really a clean usable result. Your best bet would be to use Orion. Is that an option for you?

Bryan- I've looked into the links and they are all functional. Could this be something on your side perhaps?

*Crap, forgot the admin login and pwd for the webpages. Now I have to figure out how to recover the admin username and pwd. go into the DB manager and select the NPM DB-, then go to the accounts table - query/refresh-(select-read write button) you can blank out the password and login in to create a new password.

Yes, creating separate alerts might be best here - stick with what works or You may want to add the condition to the TRIGGER criteria “AND NODE NAME NOT EQUAL TO ServerEMAIL, etc..

you might be able to tweak this report for your needs.

You could just run a repair- Add/Remove ->Change-> Repair which will take you back prior to applying SP3.

Just add the device, NetFlow Settings> NetFlow Sources, edit> Select the Device and interface it is coming in from, wait 2 minutes, then it should be coming in...

My understanding is that ipMonitor only looks to see if the service is in an active running state, otherwise it will return a fail. In terms of restarting services, it will try to restart services in any state by sending service control requests. In some situations when a service is hung, a reboot or some other action like…

Ah I see. well regardless whether a Node or interface it still takes a click and there is no way to do what you want since ICMP data is not collected for interfaces. As for the license question, yes the node would still count against the licensing, managed or unmanaged.

Unfortunately no I don't. Apparently this has been discussed previously and will be addressed after v9. Could you use IE6 as standalone>? or in the meantime try adjusting the refresh rate by going to Admin-> Web Console settings. This should at least reduce the frequency of the messages.

On a side note, does any one know of a product that will automatically cycle between open windows ? Shane-maybe something like this

It should be the service name configured in Oracle (it's not a Windows service).

You have to go to Admin> customize view>Interface details (Edit)> click add resource>List of Interface charts> Custom Interface Charts- Once this is chosen you can edit the new resource and scroll down and click on the Multicast chart, and this will show the chart in the interface details page.

Jon- If you can browse to the MIB in the Custom MIB browser within Orion, then the MIB is already in our database. If a message like “OID Not Supported” or “No such name”, comes up it doesn’t mean that we don’t have that MIB in our database, it means that we successfully queried the device and that the device doesn’t…

No, that is controlled separately.

Do you mean a 7.8.5 license reset? Yes, you will need a new license to install the upgrade.

Lily- does this apply to your scenario?
