Yeah N-Central is very good for MSP's - I used to work for one. Being able to do background things like CMD or restart services, task manager, disk cleanup from the console without the user even knowing was great. I'm sure NinjaOne, Keseya etc have the same set of features.

Loved this movie, one of the very reasons why I went into IT, most certainly didn't age well. The soundtrack was amazing! FYI his alias was Crash Override not Overdrive HACK THE PLANET!

Setting the default polling engine would be very useful to people who don't want to allocate nodes to the MPE.

Everyone can use Thwack, eligibility for prizes are limited to certain countries. The point of Thwack it is to share knowledge, not to win prizes. Considering you can win prizes for this free forum is just a bonus and very kind of Solarwinds. Hopefully this clears up your entitled approach.

You can likely write a Powershell script application monitor to achieve this. Have the Powershell script check which process is running and output the running process, then write an alert based on the output.

I had a strange issue like this on our environment, whilst Solarwinds support couldn't really help me and wanted to fix "performance issues", I discovered using usernames like username@domain instead of domain\username seemed to solve my issue. Create a new credential with this format and test it on a node that is having…

I presume they are also missing when you click on the "Manage Sensors" button? If so you might need to log a case with SW support to assist.

Is this where you are seeing the Test Failed message? On the node's configuration page? When you tested with WBEMTEST did you use IP address or the systems HOSTNAME? If IP address test using the hostname instead and see if it is successful. If you ping the target server from the Polling engine, are you getting the correct…

What errors are you seeing? Without this info its difficult to pinpoint.

Yup that's what I read too. That still means that if SW want to keep patch manager they need to come up with something to patch any versions of server after 2025.
