Trying aLTeReGo's suggestion worked for me. This error seems to happen when you don't have Engineer's Toolset and 'Allow Browser Integration' is set to 'Yes' instead of 'No'.

A client of ours also had this issue in a HA environment, which in turn turned into many other issues upon troubleshooting and so we haven't gotten back to solving it. Will update when possible.

The answer is yes, you can have this information update more frequently by adjusting the default UDT L2/L3 polling interval to be more frequent than the default of 30 mins. Settings > All Settings > UDT Settings > Polling Interval
