This is something we're actively investigating. SAP is a different beast altogether, and is much harder than the other packaged apps we've built templates for; however, requests for this are second only to Java. -Craig

I'd be remiss in not being completely honest with you; it's highly unlikely we'd implement something like this in ipMonitor. Functionality like this is something more suited for the Orion products. I say this knowing full well it's not the answer you're looking for, but "it is what it is." -Craig

hjarriell, Have you tried creating custom reports in the Report Writer? You can use this to create custom reports that meet your specific needs. You can also convert these reports to web resources in Orion. HTH, Craig

Not in this release, but we'd like to implement it in a future release. Based on your comments, it sounds like there is a path you expect most of the time, and want to be alerted on any deviations from this path? -Craig

We have a couple of Knowledge Base articles on this topic. Check them out if you haven't already: support.solarwinds.com/.../ProblemDetail.cfm support.solarwinds.com/.../ProblemDetail.cfm If these don't help, I would suggest opening a support ticket and reference this thwack thread. HTH, Craig

User would not be prompted for permission if this setting is enabled on v10 and the keyboard is locked. This is a bug we fixed in v11. For your second issue I would open a support ticket so we can take a closer look.

We changed the way we poll the API with the release of 10.1. In 10.1 we ask you to specify where you want to poll (either through vCenter or through ESX) and supply the appropriate credentials. HTH, Craig

majuap, Sorry to bounce you around, but would you mind posting your question here? We have some community members answering questions there who are experts with alerts. -Craig

Unfortunately we can't provide release dates or even timeframes. However, the general idea is that we will take performance data from OpenManage and Insight Manager respectively and expose that data in the APM web console. -Craig
-
jon0966, We have many Enterprise customers using IPAM in production today. We know there are plenty of opportunities to make the product better, and we appreciate your feedback. The ability to multi-select subnets is on the roadmap for a future release. -Craig
-
Good deal... you should be able to add nodes w/o valid write strings. You won't be able to create operations, but you can monitor operations that were manually created on the device. HTH, Craig
-
Thanks for the feedback, guys. This is actually something we're seriously considering for the next release. Byron, what are the challenges around breaking a script up into multiple component monitors? I think I know, but would like to hear your opinion. Any additional detail would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Craig
-
Not sure what's going on. I'd recommend opening a support ticket if you haven't already.

Todd, Unfortunately it's going to export each subnet to its own file. I think this is a good suggestion, that is, being able to export all subnets to a single file. I will log this is a feature request. -Craig

Checking...

I checked w/ Support/Dev and it is likely that the old installation's service has a Windows admin account assigned to it. Were you able to get this sorted yet? Did you give support a call? -Craig
-
byrona, Thanks for posting; it's always great to see community members help each other. I haven't tested this myself, but jainsworth's observations sound right; it just won't send an email. -Craig
-
You should be able to do this through building dependency alerts. There are several posts here on thwack that address dependencies and alert suppression. Try these and let me know if they help. -Craig
-
"usage" field indicates current processor load. "usage-avg" field is calculated including all "usage" fields during the period of time when monitor is enabled. In other words, this is arithmetical mean of all "usage" values for the period of time.
-
You can specify the port number when you create the operation. Another option you should look at is the Orion Application Performance Monitor (APM) module. With APM you can easily create SAP monitors. You can learn more about APM here. HTH, Craig

Sorry for the delayed response. A couple of questions: * It doesn't look like you've specified writing the alert to the Orion event log as a trigger condition. Do any of your other alerts (the ones that are actually working) include this as a trigger condition? * Have you seen this issue on any devices other than your…

The 'Time of Day' for the APM report should work the same as the 'Time of Day (24 hour format)' for NPM. Try removing 'AM' and 'PM' and use the 24 hour format for the times. The times should look like this: 08:30 18:00 Let me know if that works. HTH, Craig
-
Glad to hear it... thanks for the feedback! -Craig
-
Questionario- thanks for the feedback. I will log this (the ability to toggle automatic recreation of operations) as a feature request.
-
We've confirmed this is a defect; we lost the post in 9.5 when we did the port from ASP to ASP.net. We will get a defect filed in the system to address this.
-
A few suggestions: * Make sure you have selected 'Yes' for the 'Keep Historical Data' option under 'Show Advanced Options' in NPM. * Make sure you selected 'Yes' when asked to display the results in the Orion Web Console. * Make sure you've added this poller to the views you want to see it displayed in the Orion Web…

Glad Support got you sorted. Those are the same steps I was looking for. Are you still having issues with configuring your SMTP settings?
-
Understood; thanks for the clarification. Let me run this by the Dev team to see if there is any reason launching the application via UNC path wouldn't work.
-
More of a bug, although that doesn't matter. The important thing is it should be fixed in the next release. -Craig

msab, Orion IP SLA Manager doesn't currently expose the tag parameter; however, I have recently received another request to support this field, as well as Owner. Are there any other IP SLA operation parameters you are interested in that we don't currently expose? I would like to include this in a future release, and I want…
