I'm getting an error clicking the link you've referenced.

Update: I just added AppInsight manually once again, but this time I did not fill in the Instance or the Port information but allowed it to use default and dynamic port and then got better results. See screenshot. (However, adding it with List Resources didn't work for me. Also, what Credentials get assigned with this…

I removed the AppInsight monitor and then went into LIST RESOURCES and selected it and clicked SUBMIT, but - it doesn't show up as a resource now. I tried this under NODE DETAILS plus by way of MANAGED NODES and it doesn't 'apply'. If I review the resources later it is still unchecked.
-
It was done manually. And it is a mix of components, maybe half or less. Here's a screenshot.

i've just updated to the new release of NTA 3.6 plus set NTA DNS settings to 'On Demand' and i'm getting DNS host names resolutions much better now. i'm a happy camper again...

Mav, Thanks for the reply. I've only used standard variables in those tooltips. How do I format the Custom Poller for TCP CONNECTIONS? Here's the SQL from a report for that UnDP - maybe the answer is hidden in this: SELECT SummaryDate, NodeName, Poller_Name, CAST(MAX_of_Status AS varchar) AS MAX_of_Status FROM ( SELECT TOP…

Just trying to monitor various TCP and/or UDP applications end-to-end. Some sites are through MPLS clouds, some through VPN tunnels (xDSL or Cable-Modem), some through T1 circuits. We need to isolate those hops where packet-loss is a constant issue (along with high latency).

From the NTA box: As I look at an "Endpoint" shown in the NTA view named TOP ENDPOINTS (I'll call it ENDPOINT-ABC) and it has this IP in the view: ENDPOINT-ABC 10.100.100.1 At the NTA box I perform: PING -A 10.100.100.1 and get back the name ENDPOINT-XYZ And I then perform: PING ENDPOINT-ABC and get back an IP of…

Thanks for the reply - NPM is 9.5 SP3 and NTA is 3.5 SP1 It was from a print preview and that how it printed at the printer - if left off the graphics in each TOP x but did print the tables below each graphic.

Thanks for your reply... These interfaces do not show up as resources in the Orion NTA page but they do when building reports. I consider these duplicate reporting data, would that be correct?
-
No... This is happening for one user. The actual report is seen just fine. But when he selects it using the top right button called "Printable Version" and then at that next screen he uses 'Print Preview' - it does not contain data nor does it printout with data. It is empty. Only the header/footer is there.
-
thanks and yes, it is ESX 3.0.0
-
WOW! THANKS! that's what i'm talking about...i've got some work to do now.
-
Interesting that you offered this as the solution - it is the same solution I offered to someone else many months ago but I chose to use the APM Template which appears much easier. I've opened a case on the APM Template. After all this template is suggested in the APM admin guide but it doesn't appear to work. We have a…

Thanks for the tip. Yes - I looked this over and it should be exactly what I need to do some transactions. This should save me a great deal of time. Thanks again!

thanks for the reply... i'd like to have a 'snapshot' of processes and their cpu util - for instance, i have a server where two processes together make it show up as 100% cpu. by the way, i'm missing something here...where's the resource Processes and Services you've mentioned? is it in APM WMI? thanks.

Looks great GOB! Thanks for this great work!!! I have a question please. Is it as simple as this change to get the real interface FULLNAME which gets me a little more description for the interface. To CHANGE InterfaceName='<%#Eval("InterfaceName")%>'> to Because, for me this output is either... Fullname…

Thanks for your reply. Our Microsoft Exchange storage is SAN-based, so in addition to typical trending provided by EMC reporting, we hope to understand trending for actual “Store” storage per mailbox and for instance, point in time graphs showing the Store size changes. 1. Is it possible to trend databases to discover…
