So far testing is going great. No glitches at all.

So far everything is working as expected and I like the new features. No problems.

This is nice. Is there anyway to set the clocks to 12hour format rather then the 24 hour format (Military time)?

ding I thought you wanted a meeting to discuss the below that I posted on the BETA page when 4.7 was still in Beta about the IP Request form not working properly. So the basic process flow for the IP request form. Should go: User Opens Request -> User submits IP Request -> IP Admin gets e-mail about request with Link ->…

I am willing.

Another thing to look at especially with Windows, is what IP's or hosts are allowed to access the SNMP on the server. You have to go into the Windows Services for SNMP and make sure your Orion host is configured in the Windows service as being allowed.
-
I agree on the WMI, but if you are limited to just SNMP, you do not need to monitor the packet schedulers nor the WAN Mini ports. Only the main interface for that server. That is what we are doing.

I mainly stick to the Thwack site. Every once in a while I will visit the Customer portal at the SolarWinds site to check on licenses and any tickets I have in.

Any word on the Winners?

I am willing to answer

We have Oracle servers also running on IBM servers. We had to have the IBM administrators install SNMP on the servers, and enable the SNMP service, before we were able to monitor everything correctly. If you are using a Unix OS, make sure your AIX administrators have installed SNMP and turned the service on, same thing…

I see it now.

I am in. Let me know what time and Date.

I have discovered that when this happens to me, I unmanage the device, then remanage the device. Then it brings everything back to normal.

So by adding the interface of the Riverbed, rather then the router for the Neighbor scan it prevents any IP conflicts from showing. So if anyone runs into this problem where they have a Riverbed or other Network accelerator inline between their switch and router, they need to put the IP address of the Riverbed in the…

Try the below link. It provides out-of-Band Secure Management of your devices, that is if you are looking for remote management of the devices to fix a problem. Otherwise if you are looking for a secondary connection out, then I would add another circuit. http://www.commdevices.com/solutions/commercial-networks/

* What problems occur on your ASAs that are not detected by your monitoring today? Definite struggle monitoring the HA Failover on the Firewalls. We have no insight into this link between the firewalls except to go into the CLI or the ASDM software. Another thing would be the insight into the DMZ portion of the firewall to…

The new web based version i feel is better then the old version that you had to install on a users workstation. It is very cumbersome having to update each persons software every time a new version comes out. With the web based version it is saving time by allowing use to just worry about upgrading the software on one…

SolarWinds is working on getting the Nexus Product line integrated into Engineers Toolset. I run into this problem with the Nexus 5k, 7k series.
-
I created an idea for this. Please vote for it so they will implement it.

Do you have a date when the RTM will be available?
-
I just installed the RC yesterday. The only problem I have and I have already submitted a ticket on it, is the Hostnames are showing up as 0.0.0.0 instead of the actual hostname or IP address. In case SolarWinds needs to know, theCase # 1118924.

Can you put a template out here to import into report writer. Thanks.

I use it for WAN links to monitor information going back and forth from Server to computer and vice versa. It is especially useful when users or even Server administrators are complaining that circuits are slow. You would be surprised at what users are doing that slow down the WAN circuits.

We use the NCM Connector but not fully yet because we are waiting on Cisco to transition our SmartNet. So we are not getting the full outlook on it right now. Not sure if I would be able to answer to many questions, but will help if I am able too.

So does anyone know if there is any word from SolarWinds on if they are going to come out with a hotfix to resolve this problem with IPAM. We ran into the problem again where all our scan jobs just locked up, and showed next scan ASAP. Of course supports only answer is delete the job engines and create a new one. This is…

I am having the same problem, every morning I have to restart the Syslog service. I am not receiving anywhere close to the max of syslogs per hour, so there is no reason for the service to constantly crash. I even set the service to restart of shutdown, that does not help at all. This is frustrating to say the least.

I did not see the following in there, but my eyes may have been playing tricks on me. Cisco Nexus Supervisor Module 1 August 15, 2014, August 31, 2019 http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps9441/ps9402/end_of_life_notice_c51-729282.html
