You can get an alert for drive failure via the Hardware Health monitoring in NPM version 10.4 or SAM.

You could do it by adding the Custom HTML resource(found in Miscellaneous Resources) and putting the following in it(used your url from above for an example) <iframe src="http://Solarwinds/Orion/DetachResource.aspx?ResourceID=328&NetObject=NI:3064" width="100%" frameborder=0 height=600 scrolling=no align=center></iframe>…

With NPM version 10.4 audit functionality was added. Tracking alert acknowledgement is one of the types of things you can audit. There's a few new resources "Last xx Audit Events" that you can add to views that will show Audit Events, or you can use the Message Center to view them as well.

Yes, you can build an application within SAM to accomplish this. You could use an Oracle User Experience Monitor component to query the db directly, or use a Linux/Unix Script Monitor component and use the "asmcmd lsdg" command to get the info. Kris Maxwell http://www.loop1systems.com

If you plan on using the additional polling engine servers to monitor nodes/apps using SAM then yes you'll need to install the additional polling engine component for SAM as well. Kris Maxwell http://www.loop1systems.com

Typically it's either the volume label has been changed or snmp isn't responding on the node.
