Ok Mark. I turned off node monitoring then I turned it back on. After I turned it back on, I try adding a node. The node im adding is a Cisco Catalyst 6509 which was recently added to our network, the SNMP string is our standard across the network. When I put the IP address all test past and it looks like it work, however,…

Can this table be displayed in an email alert? Ive modified my alert to show this, but would be cool if I could include the chart. Snippet from Advanced alert: SWITCH: 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 WATTS: ${CustomPollerStatus.RawStatus} From email alert on a switch with 6 stack members: SWITCH: 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 WATTS: 257,…

Marie, Thanks. The thing is that before the upgrade to 9.5.1 the BB was able to view the report just fine. Now since the upgrade it can not. I was not sure if there was a way to change the report so it could be viewed as html, since it can not view .asp. I am using report scheduler to send out a morning report showing a…

Thanks all for the help. I finally got help from support and they fixed my issue. Im not sure if its default or not, but after the upgrade to NTA 3.7 the interface details were blank for netflow data. To show the data in the interface details the support rep added the follwoing items. Im not sure if these are default or…

Mcbridea, Here is the screen shot. When I go into the details of GE and FE there is no data to see, as the first screen shot of this post shows. However, when i go into the details of the S1/0 interface i do see the CSQos details. Thanks for helping out.

mcbridea, Thanks for taking a peak. Here is a new screen shot. When I go to look at the GB, or FE interfaces it looks like the first screen shot in this thread. If I look at the serial interface the data is there for CBQos. I have tried managing the view and the only options I see are the CBQos info. I do not have the…

I guess this means the default template is wrong. I thought the template was built to use the windows service monitor to gather the default data for memory processor etc. Im very new to APM/SAM and still learning and I dont claim to be a server guru at all.

That did it Mark, I thank you. With so many people using our server it was hard to pin point that as a problem, now it makes complete since. I appreciate the quick response, this forum is faster then calling solarwinds support. Bret

When I look at the wireless summary and choose clients I get nothing - it has worked in the past. At the bottom of the page is the below info. This occurs with both Firefox and IE. I have three Wireless Controllers attached with over 150 Ap's and 50 clients and guest clients. Not sure if this adds issues or not to viewing.…

This is great and would probally work, but my boss is like I didnt have to do that at my last job. I asked him if he had all his devices setup to point to his machine and he said, they were pointing to a kiwi server and he was then pulling info off the kiwi server to his desktop. Im confused now, he said to open a case…

Yep, took exit out of my script fixed my issue as well.

I have performed the above steps in trying to resolve my problem and got most of my machine types, but am still having some minor issues with switches. Is there something else I can do, so that I have the correct machine type for all my Cisco equipment - instead of it just saying Cisco. Is it possible to do a rediscovery…

I opened a ticket with SolarWinds and they had me do this and that. The problem went away for a coupe hours and then returned. It seems this error happens constantly since upgrading to 11.5. In fact, I think 11.5 is the most unstable version SolarWinds has put out yet.

This is an old post, but I was curious. What would cause this to happen. I like the work a rounds, but this is also happening to me. My boss will want a logical answer as to what caused it, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bret

thanks alterego I read that yesterday from the admin guide. I felt it was more descriptive of each field and did it lacked configuration examples, or troubleshooting steps, if that doesn't work try this scenarios.

We use our syslog server on NPM for some alerting. Why would you use NCM? Are there advantages with syslog on NCM over NPM that I am not aware of? Bret

I am having a similar problem where my map disappears after and then a reappears after a few minutes, leaving only the following message behind when the map is not there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cannot load Network Map from "E:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\Maps\CISCOVPN.OrionMap"

Figured it out. Had to add the table names before my columns. Working like a charm now.

In your trigger action. in my example I used this variable in email. Try using something like this On ${DateTime} the cluster status changed for ${NodeName} too ${CustomPollerStatus.Status}. For the subject you can possibly use this ${NodeName} triggered cluster status change. I use these variables for my Check Point…

I will check with the DB guys to see when the maintenance runs. My only concern is that it was not happening before the upgrade. So I was not sure if something got added during the upgrade, or modified an existing process to run at a certain time. I seem to remember back in the day having the same issue, but I have not…

Thanks Rob, but we got it worked out. Apparently, VNQM stores thousands of files and after the upgrade these files were no longer being recognized. After clearing out the folder that stored these files VNQM started working again.

Thanks Dobbs. This is a good idea and will most likely work, however, I think all interface would need to monitored on a fully loaded Cisco 4510 and I just dont know if that is a viable option. From the looks of it this may be a route I need to take, or I let the NEDI boys do their show. Thanks again!

I think he wants to e-mail the config that Cirrus down loads, not the results. This would be a nice feature in my opinion..

Mark thanks for the quick response, we can always count on you to come thru. However, I did try this and it did not work. Now in the past I have gone thru the sames steps of adding new nodes and had no problems. What I typically do, is just do an import from our Orion Database which has the most current inventory for our…

This is an old post, but with the acquisition of KIWI can syslogs be forwarded from NPM to a syslog client and give you the ability see the original name. Currently, when I get a syslog on my pc using the engineers addition syslog viewer all logs have the hostname of my Orion syslog server as indicated above. It would be…

Crystal, Unfortunately, that did not work, unless im doing something wrong. In fact, when testing the UnDP it looks fine, but when you look at it on the web page it looks like what I posted. I most likely need to open a case with SW. Thanks!
-
Thanks. Are there also updates for temperature monitoring?
-
No Jeff it is located on seperate server.
-
Yes I have log-neighbor-changes. Logs are being greated for BGP to the syslog buffer, but the logs are not being delivered for those logs to the server. Where as, the configuration change logs are being sent to the syslog server.
-
Thanks for the resonse netlogix, none of those are the issue. The router is sending logs to the syslog server, but the router is not sending bgp logs.
