Thanks for your replies guys. When I browse to an interface that isn't collecting netflow traffic I'm unable to click it to view the stats for the interface - i.e. the interface name doesn't link to another page. Does this mean that CBQoS stats aren't successfully being collected for the interface? Is there any way of…

How do I get my hands on NCM 5.1? I don't see anything about this in the Customer Portal?
-
Well that didn't seem to solve the problem and I'm not sure why. I don't think it's a Solarwinds issue. Has anyone got this to work? On the Cisco side I only get "Internet Errors": a1h03c#sh ip sla monitor collection-statistics Entry number: 40000 Start Time Index: 11:32:02.827 EDT Wed Sep 30 2009 Number of successful…

Well I'm trying to do an alert on a custom transform and failing miserably as well. My transform simply divides one customer poller by another and multiplies by 100 to get a value in percent. Basically I'm trying to guard against too many PoE devices sucking the life out of a closet switch. The transform is working fine…

You have NTA as well correct? If so, please apply NTA 3.5 SP1 and I believe the issue should go away. If not, please report back or open a support ticket Can I ask why this issue is not specifically addressed in the release notes for NTA 3.5 SP1? It seems to me that this is quite a serious bug and perhaps you should let…

So after a month's hiatus working on other things, I decided to revisit this issue. I spun up small instances in AWS East, AWS West and AWS EU West (Ireland). None of these players has more than 3 transactions. The result is just as in the original post. The transactions run but much more slowly than more an ordinary VM.…

I too am receiving these messages on a Cisco 4404 Wireless Controller. I am at NPM 9.5 SP2.
-
The term "Recording" is used on Solarwind's online store and the term "Transaction" is used in the product itself. Very confusing!!!

Chris, Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately this still does not work. It does not seem to be parsing ${Message} correctly. This may be because we timestamp the logs (service timestamps log datetime localtime show-timezone) and your parser is not expecting that? Here's what I see: Solarwinds, Inc. Orion Network…

Case # 83755 opened... Could you please post an update with resolution if any? Thanks.

I also opened a support ticket withe the same issue. Is there any workaround in the SLA Mgr itself ? Right now I've no historical data for my SLA operations, and for me that is very unsatisfying. I configured the operations on my core switch and seems that no new IOS is available. Andre, I have had a TAC case open for over…

What graphs are you specifically having issues with? Also, could you please email me screenshots of what you're seeing? craig.mcdonald@solarwinds.com Craig, Screenshots on the way. The graphs that don't appear are on any "Operation Details" page. For instance, for a DNS operation you would normally see two graphs: (1)…

Load the Opera Mobile edition. That may work. I just spent about two days trying to make this work on my Blackberry. As it turns out, this will be a no go for most corporate users. The way that Opera Mini works is that it communicates with a proxy hosted on the Internet. This allows it to resize images and provide…

I have this problem too! Any comment from SolarWinds? The left pane of the screen just keeps refreshing which completely locks up the app! I just upgraded to 5.5 in the hopes that this would be fixed. But it is not.

What version of IIS/Windows are you running on? The server is Windows Server 2003 with IIS 6.0. The browser is IE7.
-
By default we use the ip address that Orion knows about. We do allow you to specify the source ip address by editing the node properties in the ip sla node admin area. * If you are on the IP SLA summary view, click on IP SLA Manager Settings * Click on Manage IP SLA Nodes * Check the node you want to change the ip address…

By the way, when I see this race condition I am also seeing these errors in the BusinessLayer log: 2009-08-05 11:52:50,724 [29] ERROR SolarWinds.NPM.BusinessLayer.NPMHelper - NPM Poller: Error processing SNMP results System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Transaction (Process ID 106) was deadlocked on lock resources with…

It seems this is a known bug (bug id# 7949). I'm waiting to hear back from SolarWinds on a work around or how to downgrade.
-
I have this problem too. Doesn't seem to affect anything though (?)
-
Yes I need this too to guard against PoE devices drawing too much power from a switch.

I am having a similar issue but I don't think it's related to polling frequency as suggested. The tables which are growing out of proportion are: NPM_NODE_VALUES_SHADOW NPM_NODE_VALUES These two tables seem to be a "scratch" area used to temporarilly store raw data before it gets distilled and put in other tables. It seems…
