Read release notes: checked the UTC between all servers,, the EOC time was correct, but the incorrect time zone.. after corrected all worked, was then able to add in the NPM servers. Thanks much.

All our issues are corrected with the suggested post of running the .msi before repairing/reinstalling the version SP3. Thanks to sponge-bog (toilet-guy), and the most-interesting-man-in-the-world. !!!! FYI,, I did have a case open with SW for a week.

When will this hotfix be released. I am also having issues of multiple SWJobEngineworker.exe running and driving up CPU load. Did not perform the 'approved' work around yet. We do UDP across the board also.

We have the SP3 patch, and the latest general release has SP3 rolled into it. We got one to work out of 4 servers.... read the thread above... it's the upgrade from SP1 or 2 that is failing.... it is a path issue we believe.

I could not find in IIS for NCM web to restrict based on users... if you have a procedure would appreciate it. Also, how can I create multipl local users instead of Windows credentials.. the local account login only works for Administrator, even though I set up additional local accounts on the server with all permissions.…

I tried that procedure, but no results. All cells are blank. If you know where the source data file is kept/updated, I could try to re-import as a .csv ... lt does update via the Web admin.. seems like a .Net framework problem between the Custom property editor and the database. I did reboot the system also.

I've been working with NCM for 2 months now, and I have no issues in generating new reports out of inventory (node groups, device types, etc.), but do not see anything in the admin guide or posted on how to export and print the output of the reports... is it performed via the NCM website ?

Worked with problem with SW support,, using different device templates. The resolve for the HP-2524 switches was to add in to the Solarwinds registry settings 'Transfer Attempts Count' = 1. Apparently more than one try with incorrect enable password rebooted these switches. This only occured using the NCM config download.…

Checking the server Event Viewer, found a Critical Error in NetFlow Listener: Then service stopped, and no data for a couple days until troubleshooting no Netflow data for nodes: I restarted.

Does the SW toolset require admin rights to 'run' ie... the tools themselves. We are migrating to W7, and one user is saying they need admin password to run the tools. I have 20 licenses fyi. Our security is going to require a daily admin rights password change, so need to know how much of a pain we need to prepare for.…

I have read on various other sites that Version 5 does not support egress. Version 9 does. With ingress only on a single interface of a router for example, with multiple other interfaces, you may not get valid data displayed in NTA without egress specified.

Yes, works fine. Been on NCM5.1 one week now, and no issues. Issues with Web (Group reporting, exporting, etc.) I found on Thwack,, and see that later version enhancements will correct these. If not on the list, customized per Web-login.. just like NPM would be nice. Only lets' clients see what you want them to see.

OK, not a problem.. however when I tested with a new csv with IPs in one delineated column, there is no 'pull-down' option for IP-Address ,, AgentIP is the only 'IP' option... after selecting 'AgentIP', and OID,NodeGroup columns, the devices populate NCM, but does not take the 'AgentIP' as the IP-Address. ${SysName}. I could break down the Node Groups into Alphabetical extensions works.. but what I ended up doing is to take out the NCM module access for operations, and put in Last XX Configurations and Change Config Report on the Node Details in NPM. Works great !! 

Been trying to make this work myself... using various pdf printers. NCM job prints work great, but of course the developers could not use the same funtion with NPM.

Ciaran, doing a new install with NCM 5.1. with 6,000+ devices. Have had no issues with the web response, and multiple configs. We are running high-end HP servers.. with the SQL DB separate from the NCM app server on the same Vlan(layer-2), Gig-E speed. So look at your network, and server setup for max performance. 

When will 3.6 be available ? We were invited to test the beta release, but did not get any specifics of when available. On the download portal, our new licenses are there for 3.6, but the download button does not work.
