Ok, fixed it by dumping the entire command into a variable and then executing the variable in the CLI: { string @FTP = 'request system software add reboot no-copy validate ftp://' + @FTPUsername + ':' + @FTPPassword + '@' + @FTPServer + '/' + @JUNOSImage //TODO - insert details of change template //Enter CLI commands CLI {…

Wait what? Hotfixes are now wrapped in installers?!?!? SWEEEEEEET!
-
4.0 right now, 4.1 within 3 months.

I'd have to concur with the three replies above. So far our process is the same. And we update the master images every few months for both physical and virtual servers. I can see us moving to a more vm aware model but so far the products just aren't there.

Not to sidetrack but are these route based or policy based VPNs? How are you monitoring / mapping them if they are route based? Could you share a pic as well?
-
Agreed. There have been similar discussions in the forums. Hope you don't mind but I added you to the list I started here, in hopes that a unified list gets us higher up the priority list.

All below are showing the wrong devices (non are showing the actual device correctly): Cisco Catalyst 2811 is showing info for Catalyst 2800 Cisco IE30008TC switch showing info for VPN 3000 concentrator and Tanberg 3000 media gateway Cisco MDS 9124 showing MDS 9134 and MDS 9120 Cisco WS-C3560V2-48PS showing IP/VC 35xx…

How about Juniper Virtual Chassis support - feature request http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/2198
-
We need this as well. Please post to the forum if you figure it out. Interestingly enough, I've been trying to fend off a Ciscoworks implementation. Could you share how you are utilizing both Orion and Ciscoworks?
-
Did you make any progress on this? We are in need of the same.
-
Excellent work! Suspense is killing me. Please share!
-
+1 this is imperactive to have. Virtual chassis is one of those standout features and should be fully supported.
-
Like the new icons, haven't looked at importing custom ones yet. Can you import Visio compatible ones? Assuming the modular scans will prevent things like windows credentials being tried against network gear and vice-versa if set up properly? Right now we set off alarms due to the way the scans seem to run.

This is exactly the same issue we have here: NPM Alert on Node UP (Ping) SNMP DOWN (unknown / unresponsive) And a request for Solarwinds to natively support this problem here: http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3422
-
We've seen the same issue. Good to hear that if we launch it outside of Workplace Studio it works as it used to. Thanks for that info!
-
While I love the fact the Solarwinds posts the info on the updates on thwack, would it be possible to get email alerts from the customer portal when new releases or hotfixes for products owned are made available?
-
We are just starting to use custom views as it seems to be the (only) way to limit what people can see when they don't need or shouldn't have access to everything. They do seem a bit cumbersome to setup and maintain though.
-
I've put in my group request, tested the beta and did feedback session. I'm getting no love from the group though, my access has been denied (ok, not really, but it hasn't been approved either)
-
We'd pay for that! Ooops, we already did! Kidding aside, this is the kind of stuff we'd like to see out of box as well.
-
Hope you don't mind but I added you to the list I started here, in hopes that a unified list gets us higher up the priority list.
-
, can you tell me how you figured out the options to use? Was there a document somewhere we could reference? We have the same problem and this solution worked for us too. Thank you.
-
I may be wrong, but I think you need to do both if you want to monitor the entire stack. If you only monitor via vCenter, I believe you loose the hardware visibility. If you only monitor via the esc host, you loose something as well, but I can't remember what (NICs maybe?). It's been a while since we set it up.

Have you made any progress? Could you post you UnDP poller to thwack?
