Are there other modifications you would like to see, in NCMs Firmware Upgrade, for your HP Procurve/Aruba devices? Beyond extending file support to .swi.
-
That sounds great, we are really trying to deliver what you all have been looking for from this tool. I'd love to hear the feedback after you have had a chance to use it.
-
I am saying we do not poll the Panorama. Are you pushing configs down to your individual firewalls from Panorama?
-
ninagn What would make it most useful for you? Any particular bits of information that are more helpful than others.
-
rschroeder designerfx If there were issues prior, it was not due to lack of implementation, so an FR was not the right way to treat this. When you go give it a whirl, let me know how it goes and give me a buzz if ya have any questions or issues.
-
Closing this FR, it is a duplicate of Please be sure to to reflect you support by voting on the linked FR.
-
RichardLetts Would you expect to use your Cisco (or other) credentials to retrieve this information? I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on this.
-
Woo! I am doing a happy dance!

You can always reach out directly or post your question - the community as well many of us here at SolarWinds are always happy to help. Feel free to reach out to me with any specific questions you may have.

I'd recommend using a rule to do this particular set of actions, I am attaching a screenshot of a simple interface rule from our demo. Once you create the rule you will need to apply it to a policy, where you will select which nodes this should be applied to. Then you can create a report and execute.

gadbekr In v7.9 we added a favorite flag that can be applied to any config recent or previous. This flag of, favorite, is a selectable type from the drop down list in the compliance policies. On the Configuration Management page you can see there is a column "Suggested Action" and under that is a Set as Favorite. In the…

Any models in particular? Perhaps the one that you use in your environment?
-
I agree about Panorama, it does its job incredibly well and in our case we sought to find ways to compliment it when we are co-deployed. I'd say we are aiming to provide the information you need to more efficiently use Panorama.
-
What functions are you explicitly including in this?
-
dtaylor_sw Correct we are not pulling config data from the Panorama.
-
"It is a feature, not a bug" Let me know how the test goes - I will be awaiting the results!
-
designerfx rschroeder m_roberts mtalas I am going to be closing this Feature Request by the end of this week, SCP does work for Firmware Upgrade. Are any of you still encountering issues today?
-
Have you reviewed the Compliance module and the ability to create rules? Each rule can run a remediation script if the set of criteria is met.
-
sja For which devices would you use API access for?
-
dark235 Any improvements you would like to see, I recommend that you create the Feature Request so that others can add their support for it. Network Configuration Manager Feature Requests If you would like to talk about some of the issues you are seeing, we can connect offline and go through that.
-
I assume that this means that you would segment this by user and then by type of user. So a 'super admin' could view all while a standard admin would be segmented to their individual portion of the network? Are there any additional expectations/details you would add to this request?
-
imafy nice idea - would a single node failure inside the job constitute a failure in the subject line for you?
-
What vendors would you find this type of functionality useful for? And yes this is for Palo Alto only.
-
Would it fill the need if there was a simple drop down for this option or would it be further than that?
-
Have you opened a case with support?
-
rschroeder I have seen this issue recently and I believe it to be something on Cisco's side. Often closing the app and trying again rectifies the issue. As it has been a day did this get up and working? I can see how having the credentials cached would make life a bit better, I will make a mental note.
-
rschroeder Have you gone to your portal to download the Smart Advisor tool? I checked and see it is showing under the NAM Tools & Plugins section.
-
marnell so you want all nodes that are not servers to be added to the NCM config backup job? You can do this by using the 'Machine Type' conditions to the Job.
-
marnell Unfortunately no, we have no other way to see who made the edits outside of displaying the details in a syslog.
-
I will reach out to you offline.
