The correct view is selected but I'm still not seeing all the VM graphs etc.

It a switched fibre LES circuit. Just checked the report from lastnight and while there are some of the same switch that failed yesterday there are others that were all right yesterday and have failed today. The WAN typically runs at around 10Mbps during the day and spikes between 00:00 and 02:00 when it runs at around…

It works a treat but I've hit a slight problem there are certain types of interfaces I want to keep ie the trunk ports, I've tried adapting the script to allow me to filter based on a string eg all FastEthernet interfaces but can't get it to work. Would it be possible to adapt the script for me, to allow me to filter the…

Avg load 1 or 2 changes a day with a peak of 50 - 60.

BXIV Have you got this to automatically export on a regular basis or do you have to manually do the export whenever a new switch is added to Cirrus? Thanks Jon
-
Where can I get the template from?
-
Thanks for the info, I'm not running an eval its a full licensed copy so not quite sure why it shows the eval on the screen captures its not there when viewing normally. That worked a treat the output from this matches what the website says so I'll do some further investigation, how come my 2960's only show up at Cisco and…

It cant be that difficult or time intensive to give formatting of the alert E-Mails a makover so we can tabulate, bold etc to make the alerts easier to read. At the moment at times our service desk struggle to read some of the alerts that come through particularly if they've got long node names.
-
That's correct.

Peter I'm being thick, I've now realised what your saying, the response time is the highest response time for any of the monitors for the particular device. Thanks Jon
-
Thanks everyone for your feedback, I'll definately get the book as recommended.
-
Try these commands, I'm now seeing Layer 2 in Scrutinizer. mls nde sender version 7 mls nde sender mls nde interface Jon

I don't think this would work as I get the same problem in Orion, the Cisco 2960 and 3560's machine type shows as Cisco. The only reason I haven't logged a call for Orion is that its not a problem in Orion whereas we use it in Cirrus to determine switch type.
-
Kenny I haven't got that option in the advanced alerts list. Would it be possible for you to do a screen capture of the trigger condition and reset condition for the alert? Thanks Jon
-
A general overhaul of GUI's of the tools to bring them into line with Orion's GUI design, at the moment they look dated and are clunky to use. Further tool integration with NPM, the couple that are already there is a start but being able to do a MIB walk from the device in Orion would be great or being able to open switch…

The inventory is run every night and I also ran it when I was looking at the template and it didn't make any difference.

There isn't a resource available in NPM for any of the interface detail within a Node in NCM, all the inventory details are available as a resource within NPM. It would be good if the Time data was last tranmitted/received and CDP tables were available as resources within NPM. Thanks Jon
-
See below how the resource is configured with a filter for limiting to top 5 interfaces. Below what the reports displays

Yes, its an app on the Intranet. I think I've found the logs located C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\SEUM the agentservice.log has errors. I'll try logging with the local non domain account and see what happens. Thanks Jon
-
Thanks Jason, I will log a call with Solarwinds and post any updates here.

If you have a look in the content exchange under custom poller there's one in there that will dispaly actual cup utilisation for each core.

I've now managed to get the servers connected , found out that all subnets that you want to connect on a single connectnow map or through the Find connected for end host need to be in the same discovery routine.

Thanks, I got the newsletter after I posted the original message.

Its something I've been trying to get hold of for a while, we've just broken up our network into a dozen of so VLAN's most restricted to an area but 2 or 3 are site wide and it would be good to be able to dynamically look at what vlan were associated with what ports there is a report as part of the inventory on the NCM…

I've added the line but still get an error "Connectivity issues discarding config file" [13/11/2008 09:13:52] Solarwinds.Net SWTelnet9 Version 9.0.29 [13/11/2008 09:13:52] Connected! I can;t rember it was such a long time ago since I had it installed and running.
-
It doesn't hook into the NPM DB it pulls the information into its own DB.
-
What I was doing was running a single discovery of multiple subnets so I could using the functionality of searching for hosts and also the connect now functionality but there was a bug in that the topology DB couldn't handle a single device with multiple interfaces in different subnets so things like our servers wouldn't…

Connection timeout is 2 minutes and the prompt timeout is 60 seconds

Yes, they're public URL's.
