I totally agree but when that is what you walked in on that was being used. It takes time to rachet up the security. All transfers will be going to SCP in the future. Just have a long list of modifications including rolling out a switch refresh first...

It still an evolving concept to have IT considered more of a line position rather than a staff position. What we do is so critically intertwined into every business area that the paradigm needs to shift.

I think I have finally found a point in life to get back to my life in coding. As a computer scientist coding has always been enjoyable to me. Thinking it is time to freshen my skills. I am fluent in PHP but thinking python needs to come to the top of the list.

Nice article. These things are so ingrained in me that I don't have to think about them, they just occur. However, I thought this was important to share with some of my junior co-workers. Hopefully, they take them to heart and gain the skills through practice to utilize these steps. Thanks!
