Thanks for the information. We tested polling about 200 BGP neighbors on one router and about 30 on couple another routers in the Beta and RC and didn't see any issues from that but that is only three routers. I agree that shouldn't be needed. We noticed something similar with the topology polling too. SW seems to assume…

It looks like at least in the RC they were only putting the limited amount of routes into the routing table. Have you tried reducing the max routing table rows like in this article? SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Fixing routing table resources with incomplete data I realize this is a complete workaround but might help for a…

This was brought up during the beta and I thought the solution was to limit the amount of routes polled to a few thousand as we saw this issue in the Service Provider environment too. Are you seeing SW poll the entire table and then limit the amount displayed or limit what it is polling at all? We are looking at upgrading…

Thanks everyone!!!

I agree there should be two right answers according to the information that is in the whitepaper that is linked as the hint. I wonder if they are splitting hairs based on what would be the "major" cause.

My issue is now resolved. It turned out to be a registry permissions issue on the root key. Thanks to everyone for their help. Justin Hay Network Engineer, TransAia

I am also working with support/development at the moment. My error message is the same as what Craig is getting and it has also been tracked down to the inabiltiy to register the DLLs in the COM+ components. I will post what the fix turns out to be. -Justin Hay

The message that I receive is "Value was either too large or too small for a UInt64". It might be a little while before I can reboot that server but if that does not fix the issue I will open a ticket. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. Neither of these possible solutions worked.

I also receive this message only when polling the Orion server itself. I currently have the database on another server and the poller is running Windows Server 2003 SP2
-
I am also experiencing a similar issue with the website. If I try to reference a page I get System.Net.WebException: The remote name could not be resolved: 'orion' at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() at ClassicSiteProxy.Login(HttpContext context, String username, String password) at Login.DoLoginAction(String…

My upgrade also went through without any major issues. We have noticed that the X-axis on the graphs seems to have a mind of its own but that is very well documented in another thread. The upgrade took about 30 minutes on a SL2000 Poller with about 2700 total elements. We upgraded from 8.5.1 SP3 and this same poller has…

I was not able to ping "orion". After adding the appropriate dns suffix I am now able to ping "orion" but I still am not getting anything different. I have updated the diagnostics on the case 16901. I have the Web site and the poller on the same server with the database on a separate server. Thank you, Justin Hay TransAria

I am also available this afternoon for any troubleshooting. We have tried removing the website and re-running the configuration wizard without any change. We are seeing this on the aggregate traffic bps in and out graphs. We have 4 of these resources. All other resources seem to be auto hiding correctly (we have about 15…

I am also getting a similar error message, but I seem to get the message with the group of interfaces command. I have also applied both hotfixes. I do not get the error message on group of nodes but we do not have any nodes with the same caption however we do have many interfaces with the same caption.…

I agree with Brian on this one. The tables that I am polling have around 60 rows. I was polling them with individual pollers for each row before we could poll for tables but the problem was that every time I added another realm to our Session Border Controller it would add another row and re-index all of the other rows so…

I would also be interested in providing feedback on the change tracking. It would be nice to see who made what change. For us it would be mostly around looking at the events and maybe some reports for node/interface added or deleted.

I have a Droid Incredible running 2.2 and it also does not show the mobile version by default. Here is the output of whatsmyuseragent.com. This is done with the built in browser. Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2; en-us; ADR6300 Build/FRF91) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, Like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1

Bump. We have tried to block the NBNS Name Queries but the issue still exists.
-
Re-seating the power supply on at least one of our switches does seem to have cleared the alarm. We will continue to monitor to see if this crops up again. It does look like if the switch detects that it has lost connectivity to the power supply it will continue to report the issue through the MIBs even though the switch…

I am also having this issue. Ticket# 287705. Thank you,

Once we turned on the Layer 2 and Layer 3 Topology polling the Vlan polling seemed to work at that point. I hope this helps.
-
We have not seen a resolution to this issue yet.

I have breifly. The problem is we aren't a Cisco only deployment. We have at least 3 different manufacturers of voice CPE and it would be nice to be able to generate SIP Calls to closely monitor a similar experience to what our customers would be seeing.

Yes the upgrade was from 10.1.3. All nodes are static.

I actually don't have the windows firewall enabled at all. The firewall I was refering to is a PIX in a couple cases and just juniper ip/port filters in another case.

I have a UDP that is polling an Acmepacket Session Border Controller for inbound and outbound concurrent sessions in separate tables and then I am adding them together with another poller that I call Total Concurrent Sessions. I want to alarm off of individual rows in the table if the values are greater than a certain…

I'll third that motion.

I managed to get this issue to go away by using the polling engine tuner to increase the amount of SNMP polls per second. I have it set at 160 for roughly 1100 nodes and 1400 interface and 10-15 custom mib pollers.
