The ability to individually-disable every component in the AppInsight for SQL monitor is sorely-missing. I just voted-up an old improvement request to change this. I'd recommend everyone interested do the same.

Bumping this thread because I just ran into this. I agree that this is an extremely misleading function. I fully expect that "Show List" link to display all objects included in the scope filter.

UPDATE: FIXED! Just got off the phone with support. The immediate issue was that the node was configured for SNMP polling. We switched that to WMI polling and we were immediately able to add the AppInsight monitor. Not sure if I missed that somewhere in the documentation. We actually ran into a secondary issue though,…
