m_roberts I can't go into great detail, but yes this will impact the role of the FSDB. We are working on leveraging Microsoft SQL 2016 as the new datastore for Netflow. There will be many benefits to making this move, which I will highlight as we get closer to the release.

Thanks for the requests. I'd encourage you to up the request here if you haven't done so already; Jeff

Moved this to the NPM forum, as NCM has no concept of interfaces.

Log Viewer does not include additional polling engines. If additional polling engines are needed for log collection you should consider Log Analyzer.
-
Do you get any errors? Can you open a ticket with out Support team to investigate further?
-
You need to setup an ignore rule for the crypto keys or exclude them from the download. This previous post should help.
-
You can use the basic alerts to select nodes for different alerts. Have you looked into that?
-
Are you under active maintenance for STM? If so, you should see SRM in your customer portal.
-
Strange that you get that when navigating in the System Manager. I only get that when the System Manager is trying to open and has built up all the RAM it needs. After it gets all the memory mine runs fine.

Check out this post; Enable SSH Putty on Orion Node page Also, if you don't want to mess with that--check out the web based SSH tool in the SAM beta. https://thwack.solarwinds.com/community/solarwinds-community/product-blog/blog/2015/08/23/server-application-monitor-wha…

"Why cannot these applications utilize the VAST wealth of information available via WMI on a windows box? Eveything is available without even installing an agent? Ever heard of powershell?" In APM you have the ability to monitor using SNMP, WMI, Powershell, VBScript, Perl Scripts and more.

Orion on one server (or a few servers in our case), SQL on another server with DB stored on local drive. DB with a RAID 1 setup for the OS and DB log file and a RAID 10 for the DB files.

Yes, you can still purchase the additional polling engine even though you only own an NPM SL 2000. Just keep in mind that your license will limited to 2000 nodes, 2000 volumes, and 2000 interfaces for the entire environment (main polling engine and the additional polling engine). If you're interested in evaluating the…

Which version of NCM are you using? Are you using the new Firmware Upgrade Wizard or your own script? Jeff tyler.peterson

Another one, is there any way to center everything on the pages? If not I'd like to see that as an option.

I think they broke it up to load graphs faters.

Do you have any devices that you can collect netflow on other than the device that is performing the NAT?
-
Have you looked at our User Device Tracker (UDT)? www.solarwinds.com/.../switch-port-management.aspx Exactly what it is designed to do, among other things.
-
You could download the 30 day trials.
-
Have you opened a ticket with our Support team to investigate this? If you're able to successfully down the the configuration files via NCM, but not when scheduled as a job there might be an issue.
-
There is a hotfix for NPM that should address the 13ms latency issue between those two devices. Can you apply that and see if it helps? Jeff
-
UDT doesn't require you to monitor the interfaces within NPM to monitor the ports within UDT. You can also pick and choose which ports you want to monitor within UDT.
-
bsnLoginFailureAddress = 67.103.69.73 should be the IP address of the computer that tried to login to the device via the devices web interface and failed. Can you attach a copy of the pcap?

This is not possible today. I will take this as a feature request for you. Jeff

Never got a reply on this and just noticed my Loopback interface on my Orion box is at 101% receive and transmit. Anyone from SW have any ideas? If not I guess I'll have to open a case. Thanks.
-
Yes, you can enable/disable a port with NPM. If you want to make VLAN changes you'll need NCM.
-
You're exporting the flow from VLAN1. Are you monitoring interface vlan 1 within Orion? You could always change the export to your loopback interface and make sure that is in Orion.

LOL, I would expect it to be slow with this many new releases all at once ;)
