Hi Brian - I'm the new product manager for NPM. Chris asked me to reach out. First, sorry you're experiencing this issue. Would you mind PM'ing me the case number so I can dig through the details and figure out the best way to help?
-
kingslider Very interested indeed! Would love to jump on a call to discuss your use of the wireless heatmaps feature, and NPM's roadmap for wireless network monitoring. I'll follow up with a private message.
-
Hi Arin - Really sorry to hear about your bad experience. I'd like to jump on a call with you and see how I can help. If you let me know your SalesForce case numbers, I can review those as well. Please shoot me a private message or email me at jason.carrier@solarwinds.com. Regards, Jason

Thanks for the feedback! Have you already checked out the "Global QoE Settings" page? I'm thinking if you change the "Applications that have at least XX % of total QoE trafffic" setting to something like 5%, it will solve the errant messages from the false positives and let you keep auto-detection turned on. This doesn't…

Thanks Sam! Glad you thought so.

@"sja" Here you go: SD-WAN: Why We're So Interested

@"alex.schoneveld" I totally agree! Solid suggestion.
-
We could use your help! We're missing some vital information in order to get this fixed. I'd like to ask anyone who has one of these devices (Juniper EX-2300 running Os 15+) to use the SolarWinds SNMP Walk Tool to collect the MIB database and send me the results. An SNMP walk is a simple way to set up the collection of…

Daniel's response is spot on. Let me know if there are any other questions!

@"branfarm" Great question. You only need to run the script if you're upgrading from NPM 2020.2 RC3 specifically using the centralized upgrade. Offline installs don't require the script. Relevant KB article here.
-
@"hebron1212" 1 - The upgrade process would be the same as going from 2019.2 to 2020.2. 2 - I don't have a specific date I'm able to share at this time. 3 - Release Candidates are sometimes installed in production environments, but it's generally best to wait for GA releases for production environments. Others may pipe in…
-
@"sploy" - Thanks for speaking up! What make/model are you looking for? @"rabinarayan" - Aruba is the top vendor I'm currently tracking to get supported next, specifically these models: CX6400, CX6300, 3810, 2930M, 2930F, 2540, 2530. That said, I don't know when (or even if) those will be the next models we release support…

We're not presently developing any additional support for vRA beyond what's already in IPAM. It is something I'm interested in doing at some point in the future though. What are you looking for specifically?
-
Noted. Thanks for the feedback!
-
Melvin - Have you checked out this feature request? Probably worth throwing in a vote/comment. I've been watching these two pretty closely, which you might also be interested in:
-
Mike - That's a solid feature request, but it would apply more to the platform team than NPM. aLTeReGo might have more to add.
-
Scott - I totally agree! Rest API monitoring for nodes is increasingly becoming a requirement as vendor support for SNMP is declining. Thanks for sharing your insight. Curious, what are your thoughts on SAM's API poller feature? How would you feel about this feature being incorporated into NPM as well?
-
Have you opened a support case on this one? If not, recommend going that route and get me the ticket#. Make sure you provide diagnostics as well. If needbe, they'll escalate to engineering if a product defect is discovered and we'll get it resolved.
-
Hey guys - I can clarify for you. We changed the version numbers and delivery process with this release. Version numbers for the Orion platform of products are now all aligned on the same "year.quarter" numbering scheme. There won't be an NPM version 12.6. The next version after NPM 12.5 is 2019.4. Orion Platform has been…

Aruba device support (specifically pertaining to Hardware Health) is something that's been coming up in a lot of conversations. What type of support / features are you hoping for?
-
John - As a followup, we're tracking this item in JIRA as NPM-13695.
-
John - Can you send me a mib walk? I'll have our engineers take a look. jason.carrier@solarwinds.com Thanks!

To everyone that sent me SNMP walks - Thank you! I'll be sifting through them this week and getting you your THWACK points. Appreciate the assist!

Thank you all for your responses!
