Since you've already ran SNMPWalk against this device, can you confirm if the basic OIDs listed on this link is present?
-
yes, you can delete it. I did not encounter any issues afterwards. what I did I ran delete from dbo.alerthistory
-
probably not. there had been some changes on the Orion database starting NPM 11.5 release.
-
Ahh that's the reason why you don't see the Manage Hardware Sensors. This only applies to NPM starting version 11.5.0 and up. You will need to open a ticket with Support to have this updated, or use Product Upgrade Advisor: Product Upgrade Advisor | SolarWinds Customer Portal
-
Yup, its now supported in 2016.1. See this. hope that helps!
-
I think its a feature SolarWinds is still working on. Verify if this is what you need:
-
Yup. sounds like it

SAM 6.2.3 has the Orion core 2015.1.3 SolarWinds SAM 6.2.3 Release Notes
-
Just so you'd know I'm not tripping or anything
-
I was curious so I tried this on my SAM 6.2.4 lab and found that it did changed my Application monitor from the name lalala to lalalatroll (sorry I cannot find a better name for it) What version are you on right now orioncrack?
-
oh yeah, well.. Will let you know once it is published.
-
Since you updated NCM to the latest, the Orion also got updated (from 2015.1.2 to 2015.1.3). You can fix this by applying Hotfix 1 for Core. Download this from your Customer Portal and apply to your Orion server: SolarWinds Orion Platform 2015.1.3 Hotfix 1 This hotfix addresses these issues: * Ignoring interfaces does not…
-
ok.. can you post a screenshot if you go to Settings > Network Discovery > Discover Network? Something like this..
-
oh.. hmm guess its time to have support to check on this. I'm very interested, please send us an update so we'd know the fix
-
awesome

Hello ms52390 do you have a Null value on your device_type custom property? http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/5517/NPM+Alert+Fails+when+it+References+a+Custom+Property+with+NULL+Values
-
Can you show us at least the type of installer you are using? Screenshot of the installer should be fine..
-
Once the Orion platform has been updated to 2015.1.x, all alerts for the module that uses this will automatically be moved to web. (ie. if you're NTA is still on 3.11 you will still see your alerts on the AAM) Main reason is because of the change in schema and alerting tables.. From what I heard there is a way to disable…
-
hmmm.. strange indeed. my node didn't change when I updated the node name (probably because I have not run any change on the device) mind opening a ticket so the team can further investigate?
-
what version is your NPM, mfoley@homesite.com?
-
updated. sorry You can cross reference the view by using the ViewTitle and ViewKey columns of the specified ViewID
-
I guess not. it will ask you though if you want to continue changing polling method.
-
Views, alerts, web accounts etc are all stored on your database except reports created from Orion report writer. In the event your server would crash, I would suggest creating a shared folder for your reports so you have a backup of those. For the MIBs, they are included on the Orion NPM installer so no need to backup this.
-
Hi billyjbryant since you are using FQDN for accessing the web console, you can try changing the name of the websites for your Primary Polling Engine and an additional Web Engine instead of using the server Hostname..
-
Yes epenney please try that

This might help: NPM Core Training Part 6: Alerts - YouTube
-
lol of course its by design. SolarWinds won't know unless you press delete.
-
Can you please check your Solarwinds Netperfmon website from your IIS and verify if you can enable this? https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc771077(v=ws.10).aspx
-
Oh i see you checked that one already sorry! I wanna watch what'll support will find about that one.. keep us posted please!
-
hmm interesting.. can you go to C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Logs\Orion\swdebugMaintenance.log and verified if it has completed the DB Maintenance?
