Reoccurring Maintenance Schedules are nice, especially for smaller groups of nodes but, to apply a reoccurring schedule to all nodes is a bit tedious though, I'm sure there is a way to script that. That does remind me that I would like to be able to apply a schedule or adhoc maintenance to defined group of nodes/objects.…

Congratulations on your Anniversary @KMSigma.SWI !! Hope you are well. I didn't know that you are no longer a part of the organization. I guess IYKYK. Thanks for staying plugged in.

So why would 161 need to be bi-directional. The polling engine is making a call to the target. Will it not get a response if 161 is not bi-directional?

The same is true for muting. I want he persons ID and the change, incident, or other reason for muting or unmanaging. Been asking for this for years. Seems like an easy win to make SW more ITSM friendly. Add a field VARCHAR(256), update the form, allow it to be shown in reports or display when floating over an unmanaged or…

So, do I need to move all of my Fortigate devices to the MPE for a while and then move them back to the APEs so that I am not having to do a list device for each of the 1500?

great write up, just left a few questions

Couple of questions about this: I have 4200 nodes that need to be changed to SNMP only. What's the best way to do this? Certainly I can't do a list resources on all of them. Is there a performance impact assigning these pollers via "Manage Pollers" --> "SolarWinds Native Pollers" --> "Status & Response Time SNMP"--> Assign…

I think this is great. Please do make sure to avoid dead links

This needs to be extended to alerts like Error Message: CE00401004 KernelPanic Alert Description: Node 966064694446 with ip XX.XXX.XX.XX crashed from a kernel panic. Alert Cause: Found kernel panic crash dump file. See dump at /home/cohesity/data/logs/crashdumps/127.0.0.1-2024-03-13-19:15:46 on node 966064694446 Reason:…

Yes, I have many APEs and these are not managed from the Main poller.

How is this still not a thing? Honestly guys, spend some cycles implementing some of these request. Most of them are things many other tools do well and should have been in the tool a long time ago. Like save a note with an unmanage or mute action GMB!

So I noticed while looking at the webUI for UCS that the login name was prepended with "ucs-" once I added this it connected with no issue.
-
What are these "contributors"?
-
And maybe that's the issue. I don't believe it's stored.
-
Hmmm...no email
-
I have a weekly unattended scan on the networks that contain these devices. Why isn't it picking up the new resources?
-
I have a modified version of the OOB alert

It depends on how you've configured the Alert Reset condition. I typically use the default "Reset this alert when trigger condition is no longer true (Recommended)". In doing so, if the alert trigger is on a component statistic >= 10 for example, if you are no longer collecting that metric, how would the reset condition…

I used SWQL Studio to run that query and get no results

I'm finding FORTIGATE CPU & MEMORY"If you're already monitoring your FortiGate firewalls with your Orion instance via SNMP, there's nothing additional you need to do. Simply upgrade your Orion product module to the latest version that includes Orion Platform 2019.2, and these metrics will begin being collected" Is not as…

@Steven Klassen, any luck here ?
-
Loving it.

That's the alert definition I used as a basis for my own but, it triggers when the IPSEC status changes which is a lot. hence false positives.
-
@jvb Will Active Directory credentials work or does the account used have to be local? If the UI uses https (SSL), does that mean the listening port is 443 for this integration?
-
Status Description is blank

So I've registered and have hotel arrangements but, I've not seen any email correspondence indicating I am registered. I've never participated in person so I'm not sure what I should expect in terms of correspondence. Am I to just show up at the Hotel and figure it out from there?
-
Registered for my first in-person SWUG. See ya in Austin!
-
I'll forward the survey email to my gmail account and try it on my home computer later. Thank you!
-
What a wonderful surprise. Thank you for the recognition.

So I have credentials that seem to be valid when I login to the UI. The UI has 3 boxes User, PW, Domain. I input the user name as "myuser", the password, and select the domain "mydomain", user logs in no problem. Within the UCS credentials dialog in SolarWinds I've tried Port: 443 Use HTTPs checked Username: myuser,…
