Thank you for the suggestion. I will definitely give this a shot. Jon

Thanks Denny, I have APM on my "wish list" for next year's budget. Hopefully it will get approved. Jon

That's a great idea, unfortunately it doesn't appear to work with this appliance. I get to the point under the "Select Components" tab where it shows "Loading Data...", and the spinning wheel just goes in circles. I let it run for over two hours, and nothing ever displayed.

If I try to edit the properties of the switch, the passwords are obfuscated. I should have mentioned that we use SNMP v3 (sorry about that).

Thanks kweise, That is exactly what I was looking for! Jon

Chris, Which OID are you referencing here(for use in the UDP)? Is it 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.9?

I guess that I am confussed then. If I look at the template itself, I see the following entries: PercentFreeSpace Component Type:WMI Performance Counter Monitor Credential for Monitoring: MSLS BLUETEAM Override Template Polling Frequency: seconds 300 seconds Override Template Polling Timeout: seconds 300 seconds Override…

Yea, I have looked into that as well. The last time I checked though, none of them were on the Army's approved software list, and it is a Bear to get something new added. Jon

Thanks Danielle, I was hoping that SolarWinds would pick this up as they appear to be using it as an advertising point. Jon

Hi Chris, IAVA's are: Initial Adversary Vulnerability Assessments. DoD, AirForce, and the Army all have their own. Most documentation I have found is restricted to users with gov't accounts, but I found an example at: http://www.lumension.com/industry.jsp?id=123864&rpLangCode=1&rpMenuId=123880. Lumension mentions that they…

Thanks Brandon!

Thanks Vinay BY, this helps too! Jon

Hi Marie, Nope, no problems, just keep noticing it on the Home screen. Jon
-
Thanks Jim, That worked perfectly! I need to remember that little trick in the future. It would be nice if they could add the feature of assigning the status of multiple objects to an object in a future release. Jon

I am trying to create a Cisco VTP status report and I think the OID I need is as follows: OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.46.1.8.1.1.3 is "vtpDatabaseLocalMode(3)". The description for this OID is as follows: The local VTP mode for a particular database type in this administrative domain. - 'client' indicates that the local system is…

Thanks Suryanto, I give that a try. Jon

I am not very good with SQL Which table do I run this query against, dbo.Nodes?

I forgot all about the NCM Policy Reported. I created a new policy and report looking for this string, ran the report, and had the results! This works great! Jon

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for!

Yes, I have selected "None" for every option except IPAM Summary View, it is set to IP Address Manager. This does remove all of the other Modules links, but I still get the "VIEWS" toolbar with links to: Home Top 10 Events Alerts Syslog Traps Overview Wireless Reports Admin Help. I would like a view that has no "Views"…

Any chance that you can export all of this and send it to me, or post it in the Content Exchange? Jon

I am sorry that I never responded to your question (I just now noticed it). As far as how am I doing the downtime calculations, it is actually a built-in variable: ${N=Alerting;M=DownTime} minutes.

Thanks for the link. I have been looking through a lot of MIBs and OID's but I haven't located this yet. I sent an email to my local SE about this. If he has an answer, I'll post it back here.

Hi Andy, I'm sure that I am looking right at this, but I don't see this alert. Where can I find it? I am running NPM 10.1.1
-
It does, that is what is odd. It is the same hardware, the same IOS version, and the same SNMP configuration ass the other 100+ 4507-E's that successfully list their interfaces. It is just this one switch causing problems. This why I agreed with the first assessment that it must be something wrong with the switch, but…

I did a SNMPWalk starting at OID: 1.3.6.1.2.1.2 as that appeared to be the root of everything mentioned in the article that you referred to. I have attached the output of the walk (I obfuscated the vlan ID's but that is the only data I changed).

Jiri, Did Cisco give you instructions on how to do this? Also, I support an Army organization, and we do not use Smart Net (the Army has a blanket support contract with Cisco). Does that mean that we can not use this tool if we don't use SmatNet? Jon
-
Hello, Quick question about this. How do you determine what the status values are for the status condition? Is this something defined in the MIB? Jon
-
I tried using a Local Admin account, and it too fails. I have emailed the Server Team about this (maybe they will respond this year ;-). As far as undoing the GPO changes, that is not possible as the changes are gov't mandates that we have to implement for accreditation. Moving the server to a new OU might be a…
