network atlas is more on a like a design and manual procedure. This is for us IT to make sure we place the right node and connection to it. Usually user try to match what they have on their network design and place each node for the connection. I don't thing there is a SQL function to put all nodes but even there is, it…

Hello, prior to NTA 4.1 - there were known issues on previous version that NTA flows were not being deleted during database maintenance. it was happening every 12mn. However that was resolved and on NTA 4.1 and above. However, that being said, even if that was fixed on the said version, the files may still retain on that…

Not totally sure also what is that, but my status either the status of the alert if it is active or not active anymore or the status of the node. If you will check the SQL database and the AlertStatus table >> a column is shown "STATE". If i track it, those on the 2 state are active alerts on my Solarwinds.

There are pre-define alerts that NPM has. 1. Remote desktop Orion server 2. Start >> All Programs >> Solarwinds Orion >> Alerting, Reporting and Mapping 3. Advance Alert Manager >> click configure alert you will some alerts that are checked already and enabled. Just select which one you want to modify or click copy to…

You can click "Edit" on the chart for netflow and change the from let say top 5 to top 10 or so on. Max is 100. Or you can also increase your Top Talker Optimization to 100% on Settings >> NTA settings
-
1. Login to your web console with Admin rights 2. Go to Settings (upper right) >> Go to User Accounts >> Manage Accounts 3. Look for the Account that uses that Menu bar - that has that NTA filtered created. 4. Hit Edit >> Look for Default Menu Bar and View Section >> Remember the name of the menu bar that is set on Netflow…

Charts or NTA resources will only have a filter if you are using the NTA template page >> it has what we call the FLOW navigator. This you can filter or inlcude only the Endpoints you want to include on the chart or what conversation. If that chart is place on an NPM page - it does not have any filter like what you see on…

Questions: * Does it shows down on the web or you are receiving alerts that it is down but never really went down? * Did you check the alert that is incharge for the said device? Is the Trigger Condition threshold set to like 2 minutes to make sure that it will only fire if the device has been down for like 2 minutes?…

Running the network sonar discovery would do the trick

Hi...I'm not sure If NTA can do that, like what you saw, it can only display the TCP packets and not the number of session. This will be a feature request for the NTA product.

what particular custom report you want to create? then i will point you to what table you need to take a look.

Monitor only what is important for you to know. For example you have a Switch >> Firewall Router connection, as a suggestion, monitor only the firewall router inside and outside interface and to local ports that connects to your switches. I suggest to run over to all of your devices on the Manage Node Section. Once decided…

run SNMPwalk to that checkpoint firewall router Open C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion and run SNMPWalk.exe - Enter IP address of Node, Community String - Click Scan and then save the resulting text file - open the notepad file search this OID - 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2 - see what it shows. if it returns for another OID, post…

NPM monitors interface per interface index/mac address. As per license count function.
-
I believe this should not be a problem, you are correct, you will get CMR/CDR data and PRI information on your voice gateway for this. Having that said, I do not see any problem on your deployment on your VNQM. We have 3 PUB with 2 subs each and almost have 8k phones registered and it does not see any performance or any…

what port did you use for syslog and SNMP traps? also make sure you allow port 514 and 162 on windows firewall and antivirus.
-
like what rob.hock says...it automatically migrates all your advance alert to the web alert section. Sometimes, it takes a bit long depending on how many alerts you have. How long since the upgrade from NPM 11.5 and you notice that the alerts are still not listed?
-
check your antivirus and make sure Solarwinds folder are excluded. Worth the try.

Orion NPM polls and uses the Interface speed set to compute for Percent utilization for your bandwidth - by default (IfSpeed 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.5). For some that you are trying to monitor the WAN interface - you need to set a custom bandwidth on the Interface details page - set the bandwidth by your provider (both upload…

if you are looking to delete the old files on the NTA flow storage database: Access your web console >> Settings >> NTA settings >> Database Settings >> Flow storage >> retention period >> reduce the days.

Are your asking to generate an actual report on the list of all devices/nodes including interfaces that are using NTA application? and what data are they collecting? Do you mind telling the version of your NTA?
