Zak, Thanks for the suggestion. I worked on this late last night and figured out that the order of Formula is specific (at least in my case it was). I had to create the formula to be {Poller} * 0.01 Initially I tried to create it as {Poller}*.01 - (notice there are no spaces. Spaces are apparently important to these…

Mark, Thanks for the info on the variables. Do you have a suggestion for my problem? Thanks.

I have experienced this same error for the first time this afternoon.

+1 on the ability to query infoblox.

This partially answers the question. In an example where we currently have 5 desktop licenses, will we also have 5 web licenses to integrate with Core?
-
Matthew, Do you have a suggestion of how to display this change other than the $CurrentValue variable in the label? A binary value in this case means very little to the group required to monitor this and we want the ability to visually represent the change. Thanks, Jonathan

What is the upgrade path going to be for someone who has just finished installing and configuring an installation of v8.5?

Where did you all get those maps from?

We have also recently been experience DB issues. Over the past month, there has been two episodes where all of a sudden, the Netperfmon database fills up. We are in the same position in regards to allowing Orion to have access to the remote SQL database. Our DBA's are saying that it is the netflow2 table that is the…

Where can we make this feature request? Logically it makes sense to have a single node identified by the loopback and then be able to have additional interfaces listed under that single node. Currently the only way that I am able to get topology information to work with network discovery is to have each router listed once…

I am including some screenshots. There is only one email action associated with the schedule.

I am not seeing the RC in our Customer Portal.

I would be available to run through this with a developer. How would you like to schedule this?

The changes to the alerting functions in 12.1 were unwelcome. I am still working through custom alerts trying to get them to function like they had for the last 8 years. I ran into variable issues where integers were being inserted instead of the text based values that had been working for years. I am also gun-shy now…

Thanks for the clarification. I would suggest that the NPM documentation referring to this feature be reviewed to illustrate that an HA license is required for this functionality.
-
My current question is will my existing FoE maintenance be converted into an HA 2.0 license. I was going to drop the FoE maintenance because the wording on the NPM documentation made it look like the DR function was going to be integrated with the core product. This was further confused by the marketing of HA versus DR.…
-
I hope you can understand my confusion. According to the wording at the link below I am led to believe that Multi-subnet HA ships with all SolarWinds products running Orion Platform 2017.3 If a customer needs to purchase an additional license or product to make this work, it should be communicated much more effectively…
-
How does that reconcile with this? https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Orion_Platform/Orion_Documentation/Orion_Platform_2017.3_feature_High_Availability_(DR)

Are you intentionally not answering my question? If I want two NPM servers on separate subnets operating in a DR pair (active/standby) what licensing and maintenance do I need?
-
So is HA 2.0 required for DR functionality? The release notes of NPM 12.2 state that DR functionality is built into the product. If I want two servers on separate subnets operating in a DR pair (active/standby) what licensing and maintenance do I need?
-
Can someone give us direction on the Integrated DR Engine. I am working on a maintenance renewal quote and decided to drop FoE because of this feature being listed. Sales said that there wasn't a DR Engine integration planned for NPM. They told me FoE was the only option for DR/HA. Today I get a notice that FoE is EOL. I…

Can someone from the development team respond to this? Thanks.

After a little more investigating we found that the VM setting for synchronizing guest time with host was checked. This is not a setting that we modify on VM guests so I have to assume that it was set in the original VM image we loaded from Solarwinds. I am attaching an image with the setting location. This needs to be…

Thanks for pointing this out. I didn't notice it before. Before I ran the dateconfig command as you suggested, I ran viewsysinfo again to see what the disparity was between the hypervisor and the guest. It was a lot closer than yesterday. cmc::cmm# viewsysinfo Collecting general system information......... done. CMC…

What NXOS are you all running? We are running n5000-uk9 5.1(3)N2(1a) and are not experiencing this problem.

I had a window this evening to upgrade our NPM 12.2, NTA 4.2.3, and NCM 7.7 installations and have backed out after about 15 minutes. Server has full internet access during the upgrade to run the online upgrade package. I stopped all running services, executed the upgrade package and waited. 5 minutes later nothing is…

Personally I don't use the network and broadcast addresses in any capacity. I am interested in saving addresses on my license by excluding these.
-
What exactly are you attempting to monitor? We monitor a number of different manufacturer devices and are pulling RSL, BER, frequency information as well as availability.

***DOH Beat to the punch by 3 minutes*** I know that that this doesn't apply to your particular scenario, but it might be food for thought for anyone who isn't responsible for their security devices. We recently migrated our server to new hardware and also migrated to a new IP address. One thing that I failed to calculate…
