delucad - By "network mapper" do you mean the Switch Port Mapper? If so, and you are unable to get layer 3 data out of the router, you should check to see if it supports the ARP MIB: IP-MIB:ipNetToMediaTable OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.22 You can easily verify this by using the SNMP MIB Browser in the Engineer's Toolset. If you…

Hi Puanani - The switch (any layer 2 device) provides the switching information (mac->port->interface/VLAN) from the Bridge-MIBs and Port Tables and the router (or any layer 3 device) provides IP Addresses for the MAC's (ARP Table) found in those Bridge-MIBs. Does that help? --Greg

jw - unfortunately the shortcuts in Orion use ActiveX to launch the Toolset tools, and the only way to run ActiveX is in IE, or IETab. There is (was) an ActiveX plugin for Firefox, but I do not think it has been kept current. HTH, Greg

Hi Jimbo58 - 9.1 will run on 2000, xp, and server 2003. HTH, Greg

Rene - there should be an entry in the add / remove programs / features section of the control panel. If not, you can re-run the installer, then select the remove option. HTH, Greg

DTGEDS - There shouldn't be any issues that I am aware of... I would look to make sure the Orion service is running and there are no firewall issues (if the engine is on a different box). You can also try running the Orion Config Wizard to reset the connection params... HTH, Greg

SnowJay, You can rename jobs from the Windows Scheduled Tasks view: Start menu... Settings... Control Panel... Scheduled Tasks Right mouse click the job, then select Rename. I also see the issue in the Scheduled Config Change Report, and will see that it gets fixed in the next build. Thanks, Greg

Hi Evan - There is no way to get that info from the application currently, but you could open the database (as an access database) and query it directly. HTH, Greg

hugh, That feature has already been added in the current code base, and should be in the next release of Cirrus. HTH, Greg

pastorm - Couple of things can cause this: * The device is reporting more interfaces in the ifCount MIB versus what it reports in the ifTable. * Some older devices will drop the discovery packets because they are coming out so fast. You can see both of these in an SNMP packet capture of the discvovery. Make sure you are…

Hi Jamesonl - Thanks for your feedback... I can address some of your concerns: 1) SSH a) Doesn't work with the keypad. Just types garble. [Greg:] I know of an issue where the numeral pad's "." types an 'n', but I am not aware of the rest of the keys not working. Can you please contact support on this so we can collect more…

Chuck - Thanks, that is great feedback. --Greg

CyclePath - Have you tried saving the graph file after you make your changes? If you do not, the next time it loads, it will lose your changes. File - > Save SNMP Graph... HTH, Greg

Hi jmcbean - The interface jumping from 0 to 100% is caused by the polling interval. You need to slow (increase the interval) down your polling, because the device is not updating the counters fast enough. When the gauge polls interface counters that have not been updated since the last poll, it makes the assumption that…

Krislee - This is due to an updated Winsock control from Microsoft (the old one had a security vulnerability). We are currently working with Microsoft to get an updated version without the issue. HTH, Greg

CameraMonkey - Have you downloaded the latest hotfix for TFTP Server? A fix was made that should address that particular issue. HTH, Greg
