  • This is what Solarwinds support said to do, in case it might help anyone else. This workaround helped allow the upgrade program to run through but at least in my case I the About window does not show any upgrade to the software, no indication that SP1 or SP2 have been installed. Still trying to determine if that About…
  •  I have the exact same problem, and it is negatively affecting the Orion web site. The Netflow v3, and v3 SP1 (either, or, both) engines make my server bog down, and completely break the Orion website. When I remove Netflow, the website starts working on a LIMITED basis: all the Netflow links are still on the Orion website…
  • UPDATE: The issue seems to be with the database, according to support. NPM does not like something about the database, specifically support is looking at the nodes and interfaces tables. I have a total of about 710 nodes and about 2500 interfaces being monitored. Support says that there should not be zeros in some of the…
  •  Thanks so much for posting this. Our Cirrus 4.0 installation (Win2003server) is behaving the exact same way when using Telnet to devices. We are a Cisco shop and this happens to random devices on every execution. We noticed the problem when we set up a report to let us know which devices did NOT have the "Login OK" on the…
  • Thanks bshopp. I opened a case with support. Turns out the Menu table had an extra column in it that was not put there by Orion, though I do not know how it got there nor who or what upgrade put it in there. The column was named "rowguid" and it had dependencies. David from Solarwinds support expertly analyzed and…
  • Not sure if this will help, since I got it close to working but no cigar (yet). Here's a template for Riverbeds, I named the file: \Program Files\SolarWinds\Configuration Management\DeviceTypes\Riverbed_032008-1.3.6.1.4.1.17163.ConfigMgmt-Commands and it contains the text pasted below. Cirrus actually runs the command and…
  • I have a varchar output from a Universal poller (the serial number of the device is queried), however wehn I follow the above procedure I dont get the value of the serial number, just the name of the custom poller (Serial_Number) for every device. The reports dont work in putting out the data I expected.
  •  Hi skierjmh, you know, I think I have that same issue with a line that ends with a # sigh. These lines are actually a part of the config and cannot be removed. They look like this: command typed: show running-config ## ## Network interface configuration ## The actual EnableIdentifier looks like this: "devicename5010 # "…
  • I just saw this post, and would like to add that similar behaviour occurrs with Cirrus on our network when using the Cirrus telnet client. If you enable session tracing, and look at your SSH trace file (typically found in \Program Files\SolarWinds\Configuration Management\Session-Trace) you will see that both telnet and…
  • Basically looking for a way to do 95% Percentile Reports for 30 days (or longer) that exclude night-time hours and weekends. Is there any way to do this in Orion? Thanks.
