@"yumdarling" Wk4 Day 17 - should this be a multiple choice answer?
-
Perhaps the addition of a Description or Comment field may also be useful?
-
Nice pick up - I normally use LDAP authentication, but just tested this on 9.1. I can log on to DPA using a custom account with all lower case instead of the correct mixed case. Passwords on custom alerts however, do use mixed case. I'd be inclined to lodge this with support rather than as a feature request. I'd call it a…

Back in the mid-70's in high school, our Math department introduced a very basic programming course, known as Miniwaft. It was run by the Education Department and was done via punch cards that we punched out using a paper clip, batched up and sent off to to computing centre, and then a week later you got your output.…

Many years ago I worked at an IBM Mainframe site. To make systems more robust they installed a UPS system for the mainframe with battery bank and a honkin' great diesel generator in the yard. During the commissioning of the system, they decided to test the UPS cutover one afternoon - everything goes *dark* in seconds.…

Q.19 How much is that linky in the window? The one that says it's Not Found? How much is that linky in the window? I do hope they fix it this round! 'tis borked: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/community/solarwinds-community/announcements/blog/2018/04/01/How%20can%20SolarWinds%20Log%…

Open plan office, my desk is within bellowing distance of our IT Manager. I have a window view of the adjacent office building, but if I walk over to the window I get a magnificent view of the river

PSA: Week 1 Q4: make sure you view prices in $US, otherwise you will get it wrong.
-
@"kpina" Kiwi Syslog® Server is supposedly one of the correct answers, but it's not listed... so either the answer is wrong, or the list is wrong. The only thing that mentions Syslog goes by a different name.
-
@yumdarling I could be wrong, but I think Q15 is meant to be multiple choice?
-
Wendy, I hate to be *that* guy, but the data we look at now is for the current 24 hour period, not whatever it was for Dec 19th. Based on these numbers, I'm guessing I'll get it wrong again. (and if I take out the min/max values I'm looking at 4.88kB/s anyway)

One of the answers has something not in this list: With AppOptics, you can: * Use the Java Agent to install the most commonly used web servers, including Tomcat, Jetty, JBoss, Wildfly, Resin, and Netty It's not a well-worded question.
-
PSA: Q2 is broken. @"yumdarling" I answered it correctly and got marked incorrect. "Sorry, <answer I chose> is the correct answer"...
-
OK, I apologise, I stand corrected - I missed the "Browse All Free Network Management Software" expansion in the list. Foolish of me to assume the hint was complete, I know.
-
Q.19 hint link is broken - this is the droid you're looking for: Help Desk Software - Service Desk Software | Web Help Desk
-
Q.20 ... how the heck can that be marked wrong when you get asked to confirm you completed the survey? Inquiring minds, and all that.
-
This link: https://documentation.solarwinds.com/archive/pdf/scm/scm_administrator_guide.pdf check page 149 for the answer. If you're brave, just be positive and take a guess :D
-
Just a heads-up for Week 2 Q.9 - read the hint answers carefully to match up with the correct answers in the question. It would be easy to scan the alphabetical list and miss an answer. I nearly did, but double-check saved the day.
-
If you look at the bottom of the trend charts, you should see a comment "There are SQL statements that may have been excluded from this chart. View excluded SQL" with a link to the excluded SQL which will let you de-select SQL from exclusion. Maybe a toggle button on each excluded SQL statement could be added, but I'm not…

PSA for Q.10 - skip the first 30:00 unless you really want to watch it
-
Has this just transmogrified into DPA 10.0? I've just received the email and 10.0 is showing up in the Customer Portal
-
Yay! Finally a mission I don't have to research in order to participate! Now if only international members could qualify for a prize too
-
I'd second that for the DB2 and SQL alerts as well.
-
If only there was some sort of monitoring product to identify mis-configured mission questions...product gap right there, Solarwinds!
-
OK, Q.15 (this Monday morning) now makes sense. PSA - for those despairing of the numbers, may I refer you to Monty Python's Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch and the number of the counting. Someone pass that Cheese platter Down Under. Thanks
-
TIME ZONES - it is 16/12/2021 here :D
-
As of this morning, it seems to have been fixed, so thanks to the magic fairies who live unseen in the pastures of THWACK :D
-
I am colour-blind, and it would be a very good idea! Even if you could just right-click on a particular item and select a colour of your choice. Perhaps a choice of colour palettes for the users?
-
For the final question survey, you MUST select one of the options for the "I would like more info.." part or you get an error. Oops!
