When will the link for Day 14 question be fixed?
-
Copying the link and pasting into a browser worked for me. Thanks.
-
Etch A Sketch is more challenging than an Easy-Bake Oven. Something therapeutic about drawing all those lines with two knobs.
-
Ninja Turtles all the way.
-
So the platform changed and I can not see the monthly mission questions. Where are they?
-
Day 2 is also giving me a 404 page.
-
I have been able to monitor them via the Meraki API using a combination of SNMP and API. The API only monitoring I have not been able to get the switches to populate interfaces. When I monitor with just the Meraki API only, it monitors the devices with just ping. I am attempting to setup a call on a ticket I have had open…
-
Great information. I will give that a shot this afternoon. Thanks.
-
@"bobmarley" you may be my favorite person today. Thank you so much. This works great.
-
That worked great. Thank you.
-
That worked perfectly. Now I have been asked another question. How would we limit the report to show only the devices that have been down for 60mins or longer?
-
This is almost perfect, but how would I add a filter to filter for a specific node name attribute?
-
I am not sure what you mean by "expand the properties and formatting section".
-
Awesome. That worked like a charm. Thanks. Now to just figure out how to add our sites so the map is even more useful.
-
@"maciej.sandecki" I have not been able to get the Meraki API polling to work on Meraki switches. Do you know if there is any clear documentation out there on how to make that work?
-
Can you add the API using Solarwinds NPM or do you need the SAM module?
-
NM..I think I figured it out. Added the last line and now I am getting all the information I needed. Thanks so much. SELECT i.FullName ,i.Status ,i.DetailsUrl ,i.MAC ,i.IPAddress.IPAddress FROM Orion.NPM.Interfaces AS i WHERE FullName LIKE '%Port-channel1.70 - 4g'
-
That does get me the Interface IP's, but how would I go about limiting the report to just the interface Name Listed above? I would like to limit to 1.70 from the Name if possible?
-
Do you know of any documentation that can help me with the setup of the SNMPv3 for the Meraki devices? I have had no luck with the documentation I have been reading thus far.
-
We do use description on our switchports, but I would not call them correct in some cases. So we cant go off just that information. We need to use the device MAC/IP for correct information.
-
Wonderful. Thank you for the information. We will look into that module.
-
So you do not have to have all the ports in every switch monitored for this to work? That is our delima....we do not monitor all our switch ports due to down (Not admin down) ports showing up on the monitor screen and possibly causing us to miss valuable alerts.
-
Yeah that is not what we are looking for. Would like to be able to export the Maps on NPM web console to a PDF or even better a VISIO drawing.
-
Thank you so much. That worked like a charm. I had to modify it a bit to only show down access points, but that was the direction I needed. Much appreciated.
-
Ok, I figured out a way to get the 7 day report...but still am having issues figuring out how to join a different table to get the node caption on the report. Here is what I have so far...
-
I have been able to create an SQL that will give me the deleted nodes in a report...but I need to know how to make it for just the last 7 days and also how to get the Node ID incorporated into the report.
-
So is there a way to create a report based on the message center messages? I dont see the options in the report creator and I am not that savy in SWQL script yet.
-
Yeah, I was just looking at that options. It hit me after I posted the question. I guess thinking out loud sometimes helps. But in case that does not work for the Customer, I would still like to know if anyone might have a PowerShell script that could be used to compare our Node List reports?
-
I have not found where it has been added to the features. I believe it needs to be considered as a new feature.
-
Thanks for the input but I believe there is some confusion. Im not talking about deleting nodes. Im talking about deleting and/or modifying the Node Notes Widget. Our NOC does have node management properties. [View:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iwf0E-mlsnjrsSAUR8_RIKi0V3VqYIlyV7igzVH5UvA/edit?usp=sharing:640:50]
