Will I be scorned for posting my guess at the solution? I mean, the first question isn't even open yet.

I'd like to go All-In with my points please

I call shennanigans! Yesterday morning I checked if the bonus question was open, as I have been doing every day when I get situated. It was NOT open yesterday morning. Today it shows "Open today Aug. 21" and clicking the link says it will be open a random day blah blah blah... For the record, you can see I answered day 15…

This thread is pretty dead compared to earlier missions. I wonder if everyone is done already, or just waiting til the last minute.
-
uh, wow. that was meant to be a hamless silly comment. and ya 6k for one mission is already seriously a lot of points.
-
So yeah, I selected the ones that specifically say they include the dashboard and got it wrong.
-
D'OH! Lesson learned on quadruple checking answers before hitting submit. Somehow I unchecked one of the multi-answers on today's quiz. So I only had 2 checked instead of 3 when I hit submit.

once you figure out the prize, you'll see that a little bit of effort is worth it.

men can answer this one counting fingers on their lap

I used to work for a datacenter colo facility. We had the usual badge in front door of the building, then biometric scan for our floor of the building. So we had this guy working for us that was a real brainless sort. We found out he was snagging the key for the fire exit and disabling the buzzer, then sneaking out to go…

This isn't so much stupid as just plain embarrassing. Had a woman call my desk one day reporting, "My wireless mouse isn't working." I head over to her desk, flip the mouse, no light coming off the sensor. I say, "The batteries are dead." She replies, "Story of my life."

Son of a Sith, I read the comments here before trying to answer question 11 and still got it wrong. My logic being that the review doesn't specifically say anything about "physical" servers. Also Private Cloud does not necessarily have to be on-premise.

Drawing winners today?

7/7 woot!

Just to make sure I followed this correctly; the email from Filip with a link to the survey was all we needed? No second email?
-
Haha, I completely missed that part under the calendar. Well, I'm successfully entered. Now I just have to wait to go back and get my first entry

I have no more time for thwack missions. busy catching pokemon.
-
congrats to all. enjoy your toys.

I don't believe the correct answer is present on the 200pt question for week 3. It is either worded wrong, or the figure is taken from the wrong sentence in the hint page.

Easiest way to tell if the alert is even triggering is to look at NPM and see Active Alerts on the node. You said it shows the status down, but didn't mention the Active Alerts box.
-
Monitoring specific services is done with SAM, licensed separately from NPM.
-
I haven't tried restarting the Orion server or services. Though the issue is isolated to this group of nodes. We have a few hunded more that are still polling normally.
-
The change is instant, no need to log out of the web console or anything. The next time you load the Add Node page it should show the community string you put in the file I listed. I should also mention that this file gets overwritten whenever you upgrade NPM.
-
Is there a working solution example to this? PollNow does not appear to be a valid SwisVerb for WPM/SEUM. Invoke-SwisVerb : Verb Orion.SEUM.Transactions.PollNow: Not found Schema documentation appears to be outdated as well because many of the properties are not valid. The only two verbs it lists are Unmanage and Remanage.
-
Ping is successful.
-
Having the same issue for the past week and a half now. Also have a support case open with Solarwinds and they have yet to offer any meaningful assistance. I should also add that some of the objects are polling okay, but only a small percentage. MIB browser, snmpwalk, node settings all appear fine.
-
I won't be able to answer this now as I've changed jobs a couple times since then and have very limited access to Solarwinds products in my current space.
-
Maybe I'm not understanding the question? It doesn't apply to existing nodes, just as the default input on the "Add Node" page No edits needed on the .cs file. I'm running the latest version of NPM, and have made this change on two older versions.

I had an item missing from my recent order and just emailed back to Proforma from my order confirmation. They took care of it.
