  • Did you check msconfig?
  • quote:Originally posted by cmccarter I have been trying to get alerts to work in a specified time period. ie I set a node alert to be active from 830 am to 830 pm. and if the node goes down during this period the alert works. the issue is if the node goes down prior to 830 am. when the alert period stars I receive no…
  • quote:Originally posted by gturrubi I am trying to eval the product but can not monitor a Linux box, is this possible? I thought since it is SNMP it should work. Yes, it is indeed possible. I'm monitoring traffic 40+ Linux routers (PCs) and 300+ Linksys wireless routers, also running on Linux.
  • quote:The only issue There is another issue. Your method assumes that all your customers have their gear switched on practically at all times. What if the power is localy turned on at 9AM? How do you get notified at 7AM that at 9AM certain computer won't boot?
  • I guess that you would need to suppress alerts for a device if a router leading to that device fails. You don't want million alerts going off if a router next to your polling server fails.quote:Originally posted by mgibson I have not set-up any Alert supprestion under the v7 Alert Engine. I would like to start using Alert…
  • quote:Originally posted by kclee Hi, does anyone experience problem with discontinuous graph in the System Manger. Initially I regards it as a polling issue. But when I reduce the node number to a few nodes only. The problem still exists. Alex Lee Have you checked the CPU usage on the polling/db server? I had the database…
  • I've got exactly the same problem. The custom poller polls in very irregular intervals which are steadily INCREASING and after three days of polling I end up with values being polled once in couple of hours or even more. That's very frustrating and renders the custom poller absolutely useless. Please help. The funny thing…
  • Being able to order a status/statistics update through the website would be great addition to Orions capabilities and practical everyday applications. Certainly goes into my "top 3 wishes" list. I'm imagining a custom list of nodes on a page that polls the nodes/interfaces whenever I refresh it.
  • Your local ISP may be offering mail2sms service.quote:Originally posted by sandeep Hi All, Has anyone in the group setup SMS alerts from Orion earlier? I've downloaded NotePager but don't have much clue after that on how to do. If anybody could enlighten briefly on that it'll be really helpful. Thank you, Sandeep sumeru
  • Yes, I too find this REALY annoying.quote:Originally posted by rbrewer We have just implemented Orion Version 7.8 on a dedicated high-end Windows 2003 server. In Map Maker it appears that we are limited to assigning one interface to a network link for monitoring, so we have created two links, each one assigned an interface…
  • Hi, Did you solve this problem and if you did - how? Thank you!
  • Yes, all of the Canopy-specific OIDs are SNMP2. 1. What's the point of browsing through OIDs that cannot be graphed or used in any other way? 2. Obviously I'll have to use MRTG. How can I place a link to the MRTG graph on the Node details page generated by NPM?
