Good idea. You should not be allowed to change maps from non admin account.

I did not know this, will be looking for it.

It's funny when you don't know about security, then you get hacked, do you still think you are secure? This one reminded me of how compliance can help with security.

What a good read. You are correct, terms are flung like frisbees, with no regard for who get's thumped. It's nice to agree on the definitions beforehand, so we all know what to expect.

Crossing my fingers. Hope this gets and update.

The map I am adding is for administrative info and not a dynamic map. Contact, hours, admin/team responsible and similar info.

Some systems do better on Fridays...it is the weekend and typically less employees affected.

Very cool, is it down or not connected?

Same here, not too much fright. Though my first week at one job, I was working with 220V power, connecting pdu's in the datacenter. Is that scary?!?

So we are using the IIS logs in SEM and have a need to view extended fields also. This would be a good idea to implement! Case 00552715, sem IIS logs

Crossing my fingers.

This would be a great feature. We currently have a need for it.

Like rschroeder posted, we had a few sites that were deployed with managed switches. After a few weeks, we noticed some sites no longer functioning. You see the switches were doing dhcp, nac and other critical services. We would have the local staff replace the device but couldn't figure out what was happening. Finally had…

How about skynet vs the matrix, machines take over the world.?.?.

Seems like good life advice for those not wanting to stay in the same place. Nice read, pursue your dreams...

I have a similar setup and would like this to be added as a feature.

Double prizes! Thanks!!!

Would like to see this switch port mapper, how do I download it?

We just updated to the new version, very cool layout. Waiting to hear from our management team to take advantage of how data is presented. Really like the direction the software is running. Now only if you can integrate the reporting somehow...looking forward to that.

Great job!

Awesomeness!?!?! Now I know a little more of the lady behind the curtain ;-) And by the way........CORGI-EOUS is what the glitter makes you...glad to be in such good company!

Seems like storage is a big deal again. We have some really old IBM gear (ten plus years) and are upgrading our internal SAN's. Wouldn't mind if we used the storage module in Solarwinds, keeping my fingers crossed... Learning the new interfaces, more gui based vs thick client...kind of cool.

Liked today's question. Can it also show if the host is running dns or ntp type resources? Am going to dig in to find out.
-
Yeah, something simple and not complex. I like the diy, just not sure of what features to get.

You should have a write in for, I want to live my life...lol...why do I need a robot?
