  • Geesh, this month is ruining me. I've never had so many red x's in a month.
  • We installed in row cooling with a closed system to trap the heat leaving the servers, cool it to 72 degrees and blow it back into the room. It's a much more efficient method of cooling and doesn't require massive krack units to chill the room to low 60 degree temperatures. On a smaller scale, we take all old power and…
  • I figured it out on number 4 and I don't understand the clue still. I can kind of see what they were trying to do, but even with the answer, the clue "Otherside" makes no sense.
  • Does the MVP work for Solarwinds... no. He has no obligation to tell you the truth, even though I don't think he misled initially. If you would have taken what he said, which was to look at Page 5 and then also used a little of your own intelligence, you could've arrived at the correct answer. I think we both made the…
  • I missed today's question, sad day in paradise.
  • I think we need to stop, stop right here arguing among ourselves and put our focus back to where its due... The Evil Conglomerate of Solarwinds! Are they just the latest McDonalds, Monsanto or Bayer or are they of a much more sinister flavor (E-Corp)? Looking at these forums, the content and intent behind it all,…
  • I was able to get Monday, Thursday and Fridays letters for last week but Tuesday and Wednesday does not show. I tried clicking the check mark again but its only showing the answer to my question. Any way to recover?
  • Must be overthinking it.
  • Can I crush it and snort it, need immediate affect...
  • I could see where the specific fix is to give them loaner computers because in the problem description it states "They can't work because of problems with their computers". But I don't want to risk missing the question. I searched through the WHD Knowledge Base for Loaner PCs or Loaner and can't find anything. Even read…
  • Honestly have no idea 4 or 13 across. I even have 6 of the 7 letters for jumble word 2 and can't figure out the word.
  • Not sure what any of your counter points are in reference to. Don't think I ever made a point that these people aren't working for Solarwinds or that Solarwinds isn't funding the prizes or that Thwack points can be used anywhere else other than within the SolarWinds store. So I'm glad we could clear that up.
  • If I had to guess at the Day 2 answer, it would be something that had to do with a Solarwinds Product and not just ignoring the problem. BUT I can't seem to find anything under the Web Help Desk Knowledge Base Articles that would confirm this....?
  • Over the years I've setup plenty of NetFlow, So I am definitely someone that can say that I know. I say it with sass, that it can be a pain in the ...butt, But Solarwinds NTA is a star at the show!
  • Ctrl F is a standard shortcut to open the Find window. Must be saying they used the find feature to look for parts of the questions/answers.
  • The whole point of the Monthly Missions are for us to learn about Solarwinds Products. The staff there doesn't have to create questions, doesn't have to give us points, doesn't have to provide prizes, doesn't have to setup and maintain a store for us to spend points. This is all just something they do for members of the…
  • After an hour of searching, finally found 13. Now to figure out 4 and that second jumble word.
  • Anyone have any insight on this question/answer for today? Definitely has tripped up alot of people and the terminology is different. There are definitely two views on the one map(view)page you can use for data analysis, but I have it on good authority the answer is not two.
  • Clearly the document is sufficient when we are discussing Marketing, it describes what Solarwinds intended. The document is not sufficient in your opinion when you are trying to answer the question correctly for this Mission, it does not clearly provide the answer. You asked the forums and more than one of us have provided…
  • And in response to my own comment, if you have reservation that there may be more to the question or don't fully feel confident on your answers, ask your fellow Thwackers. We are more than happy to provide hints; this is the point of the 'Community', not to complain at the Administrative Staff that it wasn't spelled out…
  • Agreed, the Juniper is a 100, not a 101. The Procurve is a V1 not a V2 and neither of the Cisco's match.
  • It's not poor, I missed the question and I'm ok with it. I think the one thing you can say about THIS question/answer combo is that all answers could be interpreted as CORRECT. Its a logging server, so it stands to reason that would be able to drill down in detail within the logs. The documentation does not EXACTLY STATE…
  • Missed the question this morning. Says File Share all capitalized like it was an application and its not listed in the "for" list, but it must mean file servers?
  • Or QPA could be considered one view even though you may need to move between the 3 tabs to gather all the data. Not sure if the Tabs are individual views or are just part of the QPA view. I'll log into the Demo environment and see if they have it built out to test.
  • There is only one answer that is a direct response to the question of "Type of Devices". Vulnerabilities, Malfunctioning devices and BYOD all fall under the 'Trusted Systems' section and are not actual devices. Hope that helps eliminate some.
  • I struggled with Monday's question as well due to the fact the available answers weren't detailed as the discussion topics of the webinar, but were parts of the IT Job. Kudos to @"rschroeder" for posting his experience.
  • Again, the answer is clear if you read the document and look at the structure of the document. The question is to define "Type of Devices" and in the document it goes through different types of devices. The 'questionable' answer that you all seem to be struggling with is clear if you look at the separation between the…
  • A coworker and myself were in the Data Center wiring some new fiber into our Core Switches. There had been some recent construction due to our new Data Center being built right on the side of our old Data Center and conduits had been installed in preparation for fiber and copper. I was over on the KVM console configuring…
