@"rmullal" We are whitelisting licenseserver.solarwinds.com, but do you have a handy-dandy list of what needs to be whitelisted? We did block everything, and now we are dead in the water. Thanks!

The HF1 installation went smoothly, but our Security department decided that it did not address enough, so we are waiting until HF2 to bring the systems back online.

Hi Jason, Can you share with us how this happened and how you can assure us that it will not happen again? From what I am hearing from SANS, the code was there from March through June and was not obfuscated in any way. We upgraded to 2020.2.1 HF1 last night and then shut our systems down until further notice. Thanks!

I turned on LDAP in Advanced AD Settings and configured it with SSL checked. This moved us from MS-API to LDAP, which has solved our issue. Now our AD users can log in.

@"jhorng" If you wouldn't mind, would you share some of the problems you had? What caused your upgrade to fail all those times? Even sharing a few of them would certainly be helpful to all of us. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I need to schedule my upgrade, but I think I will wait a bit. Maybe they still have some bugs to iron out or something. My system no longer has access to the Internet, except for an exception for the SolarWinds license server. It has been back online since earlier this month. I need it…

It was actually not too bad, working from home since March, until this week. I installed HF2, and now nobody can log in. I opened a ticket two days ago, and nobody has even started working on it.

A year of free maintenance helps my company, not me. I think Thwack points would be better.

After I upgraded to HF2, I logged in with Firefox, and I can open multiple tabs into our SolarWinds Orion instance, moving around freely. I cannot log in with any other browser, and nobody else can log in. We get the login screen, and when we put in our credentials it just spins and times out. I opened a ticket this…

That is the most detailed map I have ever seen. I am going to attempt to replicate that format.

Same issue here. I got a user complaint about it this morning. I do not see where there is a fix coming soon. Edit: I opened a ticket, and they sent me a workaround file. I will be installing it late Thursday afternoon (you know how Change Control is), and I will let you know if it resolves the issue. Edit 2 - Resolution.…

I am converting the Altas component monitors to the new dashboards, and that is definitely a challenge. What I also struggled with was moving the polling engine and additional web server to new systems. We renamed the systems but kept the old IP addresses. There is documentation for "new name new IP" and "existing name…

I would like a way to easily strip the domain information off the node name. I have to manually do that for all nodes, and it is time consuming. What I mean is changing something like ibmnode1.ibm.com to ibmnode1, for all the nodes at the same time. It makes the maps cleaner if the node names are short. Thanks!

Is the new TARDIS module extra? I am looking forward to the VMware VDS support in NTA.

You might want to get rid of OSPF message digest key in your post.

I just installed all new systems a few weeks ago, and it shows this as having expired five days ago. There is no delete option, and someone is going to question this. There should be a way to delete it, but I have not found it.
