Well, it looks like yumdarling left SolarWinds around that time (according to LinkedIn), so the folks left are picking up the pieces and doing their best. It was disappointing, but I understand. Like you said, it is a fun event. I look forward to it to get my day going. I have a couple of brothers who also have Orion…

Hey, we just moved from Daylight Saving time back to normal time, so it is dark and we are confused. Give us a break.

@"KMSigma.SWI" - Perhaps we need the Taco Bell Firewall Sauce. In all seriousness, I am preparing for the upgrade, and I am interested in any gotchas, so thanks for putting the question out there. The last upgrade caught me a little off guard when it needed to create a new database. I had to get our DBA on the line in the…

@"zennifer" That was a great question today. I learned a lot about those special characters. I had a bang cause it to fail on something else I installed recently. I never knew that about the special character you mentioned. Well done!

Me too!

The question for today is: Where are the questions?
-
We are going to add more in-depth application monitoring in 2020. We have all the SolarWinds modules, we just need to put them to the right use.
-
It is not clear from the article if scripts are supported. /s In all seriousness, after I got past the 10 line "scripts are not supported" disclaimer, which was repeated 10 times in the article, I found the information I was looking for. So ignore those sections, as they make the article look a lot longer than it is. The…

So if it is borked, shouldn't the puppy be the answer?
-
If it is the right one, you will know, and you will laugh.

I got the big red X for a correct answer as well. Please help, @"yumdarling" Thanks!

I know I am draggin' without my caffeine. Yeah, I have seen Data Center floor tiles dropped on fiber. I have also see a CIO who decided that the Data Center had too much dust on the floor, so he called in Custodial Services. They plugged the vacuum cleaner into the rack (before we got the PDU type of plugs), and all of…

Or at least a lot of Thwack points.

For 3, if you have the correct second word, the first word should just fall into place, especially with the two letters you have for that word.
-
Sorry, I am on a DoD network, and I cannot tell you if I have access because of your clearance level.

I thought we were all going to get to trade Friendship bracelets. ;-( So if we are not Solar Friends does that make us Solar Opposites?
-
On demand is more effective for me because I can do it on my time without interruptions from the people in the office. It is nice to have the opportunity to ask questions in a live class, so if I can set aside the time, and not be interrupted, the live classes are pretty awesome.

Excellent! Now THAT is a great hint!
-
Ours were both red and unprotected. It only took someone hitting the wrong button once before that changed.
-
Regulatory and Audit are the same thing. Regulatory and Audit are not the same words so not the same thing. It depends on what they were thinking when whoever wrote that part. Truly maddening!
-
The key is that the posted hint says Figure 14a, which is what is on that page.
-
@danielleh - Could you check mine too? I also have the grey X saying I did not do it, but I did. Thanks!

I find that if I have not had my coffee, or if I am in a hurry, it leads to missing the question. I will type in something wrong or click on the one I had (mentally) eliminated. Now I try to wait until I can focus on the question here in Thwack, and I leave my tired and lack of coffee responses to issues more directly…

LOGGING “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means”—Inigo Montoya, “The Princess Bride” If anyone here has never heard that quote before, which to me is inconceivable, you need to stop what you're doing and watch that movie right now.
-
Yeah, I noticed that too. At first, I thought it was a trick. I decided it was just a typo and I went for it. Whew! Just a typo. No biggie.
-
@yumdarling I am hoping you will post some clarification here in the Discussion Forum on the WPM in or out issue. I am also holding off in answering since it is on both lists. Thanks for your time.
-
I went through all the points carefully, drilling down into each one and checking off the answers as I went along. I double checked everything, and I learned a lot going through everything UDT does. I got a green check mark for my efforts.

A hyphen is a hyphen.

Thanks for the question today. I didn't even know we were up to ITIL 4, so I learned a few things.
