We're investigating the GCC High Office365 offering. At least they have everyone background checked and are all US Citizens: GCC High and DoD It will only be for controlled unclassifed information but may be promising... idk after hearing from everyone here... hehe!

I'm hoping using some of the Orion tools and modules will help to manage the environment. With RMF coming down this year for everyone in the DoD we'll need tools to help us reach the ultimate goal of continuous monitoring which is the RMF goal end state.

It's nice to have all your devices able to use XTACACS... I love my ACS server.

Same thing here... I know I entered it that way before and it didn't take it... I refreshed the screen and tried again and this time it worked. I knew the answer was right and had thought I tried every combo of capitalization... then for some reason it took. Maybe you need to be more of a vax VMS vs. unix person for this

True but I know from my own experience in this that physical security is BIG part of compliance.

Wow I really liked the blockchain article. It's so true. I never really got what the deal was with it... the whole thing about mining bitcoins for huge amount of power and cooling expense. It really just doesn't make any sense at all. It's almost like it just makes everything it touches worse and more expensive and less…

This is so true... what the problem really is means less to users than it just doesn't do what I need it do... or it's just too slow!!!

We've gotten rid of all but a couple 6500's they're old news... they can't even support advanced netflow. In our next refresh we've decided to go all Nexus 9k's now.

Hint today... since I wasn't sure if the answer was a word or a number I can tell you that the word works today: Well done for a Monday! And to top that off… “My password is ‘password.’ Pretty clever, huh?” - B.r.a.d.

The speculative execution bugs are a real downer... All this is doing is slowing down using our processors if you want to get around the problem. It's especially a problem for public cloud providers and overall just stinks.
-
It also makes it harder to get into NPM somehow!
-
We do all of these with the exception of basically banning iot devices and cellphones, and cameras. There's no BYOD.

Nice double MVP's!!! That's what I'm talking about!

It sure has been a long journey for me... I wouldn't have guessed I'd be doing what I'm doing back when I was in college for sure!
-
Well happy New Years eve everyone! I'm at work today... will stay for a little while at least. Pretty quiet today.

Also just noticed you were from Ohio! I grew up in Ohio. It was nice place to grow up. I live in Arizona now though and honestly I don't miss the winters, rain, or massive humidity. I'm adapted to the dry heat now!

Also automation can totally run amok if you're not careful... sometimes is seems like a good idea to run the same thing on 100 devices but then... what and how to manage the ones that failed? It's that last part in this article "Next, monitor the automation process to make sure that every step executes as expected.…
