I do have to admit that between exchange and now the integration with skype it can be difficult totally switching the entire business over to skype for calls across the entire MPLS network. The QOS alone is making us look at some new end to end performance management products with a focus on VOIP and skype.

This is HUGE! I'm really excited for more if this to come out of beta and due to the incredible tight security I have to deal with this like snmp status polling opens up the door to monitoring somethings that were previously out of reach for me! Thanks for all your work on this aLTeReGo! Great idea if we're putting the DPI…

I worked at Toyota Motor Manufacturing for 3 years about a decade ago and yes Toyota was on the cutting edge of continuous improvement and often created many of the things we now call new ideas. The Japanese already had many of these ideas rooted in their society.

We've been having problems getting kiwi syslog server to start under windows server 2012 R2. EMET won't allow the service to start. Has anyone gotten this to work under windows server 2012 R2? This is a serious problem for us. One of my partners has a case 999667 open on this now. Since most of our logging depends on the…

This is good... ITIL was a good idea when it started back in the 90's and being updated some is also good. It was one of the first successful attempts to get everyone in business to speak the same IT language. Good topic. It's one of the good things Remedy used in it's ticketing system. I've used it for years but lived…

I've been studying neural networks since the term was coined... there are bunch of different ones but when it come down to it it's really just pattern matching. A lot of what you read is being way way blown out of proportion for what a neural network can really do for you and you're right Tom... it still needs to be…

Yup kinda like some of the old school CPU coolers some overclockers used back in the day but bigger!

IDK about you guys but I really hate documentation as much as I need it. People usually talk a good game about this but in practice don't always practice what they preach from my own experience. I agree with goodzhere good companies either budget for the time to do documentation or like he said have people that make their…
