Not a big fan of solutions that aren't AD integrated: NOTE: As a part of this program, and due to the differences with how users are managed in the two systems, there is no migration utility to automatically create your existing users in OpsGenie from either SolarWinds Alert Central or repositories like Active Directory.

The worst part is that appoptics has it and Orion doesn't.

You might post in the alert lab section on thwack and see if the alert pros can help... I voted up your request anyhow :^} Alert Lab

at GT2 or GT3 might be nice!

We've got Oracle too (mostly legacy), MySQL is better than it used to be now and the price is better. But with the newest features it's hard to argue with SQL Server. I remember when for NetFlow in Orion we needed an extra column store open source database for the flows... then SQL Server added the feature and we all…

I sometimes wish I had more time to read non-technical books but alas it's less the case!

same thing here... I thought I knew the correct answer and it rhymed but it's not saying it's correct... noooooo not another 7.

This reminds me of early days in our virtualizing of enterprise when they virtualized all of the domain controllers... then we they had a storage "issue" and the datastore went away... so did ALL of the domain controllers. Then no one could log into anything to try and get things restarted. For this reason most of us keep…

Yep... Way to finish strong! Congrats on a great mission round and hats off to your systems knowledge. “Can you help me build a webpage for my side business?”- B.r.a.d.

You’re smart. But are you crafty enough to use a potted plant in the lobby to hide while “that guy” searches the hallways for people to hit Happy Hour at Applebee’s ? No B.R.A.D. today!

That's cool it looks like you guys/gals do a lot of stuff there! I can kinda relate because since I work on let's say, air gapped networks, I get to work with all kinds of technology because there's only a few of us cleared to work on our network.

Thanks again for video today Nicole!

The uninstallers never really uninstalled everything. I recently ran into this bad situation with the LEM Reporting... I couldn't get it working without going to thwack to find out that not only did I need to uninstall but also delete a bunch of directories to get it to re-install. This wasn't a demo it was my production…

We're deploying our own models on multiple networks in our environment. We're not allowed to use public facing models. We don't want any chance of our data getting outside the network. Our software and hardware developers really want the models to help them code. Bill

Thank you @"kpina" and @"jennebarbour" !!! I'm getting multiple new HCO environments and I'm gonna need your guys and gals help for sure! @"mcam" still has his bobblehead avatar... I still have mine too I keep next to my TV at home.

I would suggest using sftp or scp instead of plaintext tftp.

Big fan of SW appstack!
-
You sure got that right!

I have to agree with rschroeder... It's hard to trust workloads to an environment I don't control. I guess FedRamp and some things are making it easier and safer but minus some unclassified workloads that can be run on public cloud infrastructure... many of our workloads could never see the light of public cloud.

The dumb thing about it is they say moving away from smart cards but they don't list any real alternatives... they just don't like having to use a cradle on their phone or their tablet for the CaC card... that's what it really is about.

ending like this was painful:

I was in RMF - Risk Management Framework training all this past week... encrypting data at rest is part of the new system. Nice looking deck too!
-
Having device configurations history for me has one main benefit... if the hardware dies I can get a new one going quickly since I have the configuration history.
-
It's also amazing how many knock offs of these there are out there already!!!
-
I wanted to post this... earlier in thread when I posted that I couldn't edit posts but later checked at edit was available... Maria I wasn't losing my mind look!

We use Service Now but also Appian.

The MicroSoft Neural Network lab in the cloud is cool: Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio Anyone can try for free! They have many different network primitives already totally setup and ready to go! It's pretty amazing considering when I was in school we were just beginning to explore neural network models and how to…

I still get a kick out of your new avatar every time I see it Radioteacher!

Sometimes people seem to interpret directions differently that's for sure!
