Here's some tips that saved me: Memory displaying correctly for new IOS XE devices??? Cisco 4400's??? and the main poller I used created by SW Staff: Cisco ASR Showing 95% 98% Memory Used. Thanks again for your help... now that those are fixed I'll see if I can use the force and wluther tips to fight the evil report…

irishjd wrote: Hi, have you tried any of the ideas that wluther posted above? While adjusting the original query, I discovered a couple of issues that I didn't realize I had, and eventually I was able to get the report working properly. Jon I was looking at that... I'm sure I have a similar problem... hey at least I found…

Mine has blanks for the %cpu and %ram I don't remember it ever having blank before... I think this happened in upgrading the the main poller and modules recently.
-
This same thing happened to me when upgrading NPM and all my modules recently... this report broke and doesn't show the %CPU and %RAM any longer...

Glad you got it sorted!

I like this thread... thanks!

These are the totally brand new product icons:

jbiggley We decided the same thing... why not use a new VM with all it's resources for each poller... the main attraction to stacking is the single source IP address that polling comes from really and less ACL's, f/w, and clients that need have source polling IP's added. designerfx is right too... one issue is you don't…
-
Yes and we're thinking infoblox may be supported soon... maybe? Support for overlapping address space is great though!
-
Wow this looks awesome!

Yeah you can integrate your APE on the main box and share the same source IP. Believe it or not it's actually been around a while too: Not-So-Stupid Poller Tricks Time flies.
-
We also decided to NOT stack our pollers and leave each on their own independent virtual machine. The single IP thing sounds good but I'm afraid we won't get the same ability to scale having them all on one VM even with a bunch of CPU's. Also now that EOC has been completely re-written with the Orion core code at it's base…

I haven't made the jump yet myself but after a LOT of reading of others problems I haven't seen this one before. Also like silverbacksays usually running the config wizard and selecting all the options fixes stuff like this for us. Let us know how it goes.
-
That sounds promising as well. I know some vendor proprietary solutions are helping get around some of the limitations.
-
Awe that wouldn't change a whole lot then... shucks.

http://www.networkworld.com/article/2217903/tech-primers/layer-2-data-center-interconnect-options.html The options are many and it's all pretty new to everyone. This version kinda cracked me up in way: EoMPLSoGRE - Ethernet over MPLS over GRE Tunnel lololol! Yes it's real and it can work too! If an MPLS backbone is too…

I use this service to send Event Log messages to two syslog servers: NPM, and another called Rsyslog
-
IDK but it says 4x so we'll see! The technology is definitely there so... any improvement would be good.
-
He will for SAM but cobrian is the NPM man! At least I think that's right? I can't wait to see this 4x poller increase and website increase in speed! My SLX and additional pollers would appreciate it.

Sounds good Mike!

It's more like making the entire system look different to different groups or individuals ie. more easy to have say two companies views be totally different depending on the group they are in: The term "software multitenancy" refers to a software architecture in which a single instance of software runs on a server and…

I'd wait for the full SQL server unless everything is on VM's and it's easy to start over... or use SQL express.
-
Ahhh... not to burst your bubble but SW started as a Cisco tool company... also I agree even we are adding more Palo Alto f/w we still have hundreds of ASA's and now with firepower... it's becoming a lot more than a f/w. Can't wait to see this next round! The poller and website performance improvements sounds awesome!
-
The new installer looks a LOT better!
-
That little dog is pretty cute lol!
-
Since we've never seen before except the extra High availability option we use to have to purchase separately before. It'll be nice to see how this new functionality works!
-
I have too many of these o.O!!! snmp polling helped some but this will be even better!
-
I'm really excited about these and can't wait to reap some of the benefits! * Improvements performance of single poller (up to 4x) and website loading time decrease. * Real Multi-tenancy support * Single page integration between NPM and NTA. * New "small" remote poller.

Here's an additional 3D8120 too I found: http://www.ndm.net/sourcefirestore/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/Sourcefire_3D812_4f21bb43b9a49.png

Seems like so small of a thing but is really so HUGE. Snmp only status polling has completely changed my NPM and made it what it needed to be. For my network of networks (many of which are isolated or restricted) it's nice to be able to show availability for the first time without icmp!!!
