Zennifer, How difficult was it to get your management to go for this? Like you, we have a large data center with about 16 racks. We also use NetApp, E-series, FAS and now SolidFire for our storage. I know we could condense our data center down, but nobody wants to listen. Any additional thoughts you could provide would be…

I just read what you put together and for the most part, I couldn't agree more. knowing your environment before leaping always makes sense. Unfortunately most of the time we fly by the seat of our pants so we don't have the time we need to always do things right. Sometimes this is very frustrating, but I look and say OH…

Whoever fixed question 20, thank you at least now it makes sense.

I actually have been watching the on-demand series as well, I have also shared them with others here at my location.

DO what I do everyday, open the question, cut and paste it in a temp word doc. Pull it up on my second monitor and the click on the hint. This way I can see the what the hint has to say while looking at the original question. If I am not in a hurry I can usually get it right. Just sharing

Forgot to mention that since I am in the financial services industry your writings on compliance really hit home. We are very highly regulated so security and compliance are very big in our organization Thanks again

Thank you I will try it tomorrow and see what happens. Make sense to me

Just did today's 10/27/17 question and even though I took the survey and put something in the blank space, it said it was the wrong answer.I am really confused, what the heck is the right answer?

We use Commvault for our backup and have been moving systems and servers off of backup exec and onto commvault.

Once again Dez you hit it on the head. I know where I am at because we are a financial institution, patching of any kind is a must. We actually get complaints at times from our users who are upset because we do have to patch their systems. We try very hard to do all of our patching off hours, but even that can be…

Sounds really nice, wish I could do the same thing.

Best of luck to you as you move forward with your life.

I am asking everyone to consider this whether or not you use Solidfire or not it is for a good cause.

In our organization we have a central location for all that is used hardware. It comes in computers and drives are cleaned and the everything is sent off for recycling. We have one employee who is dedicated to the process so it works very well we also use this to mark the items off of our asset list.

I just saw this and can't believe it. This is the governments response to the Equifax Breach. "Senators expressed bewilderment Wednesday that credit reporting company Equifax, under siege after a data breach affecting more than 145 million people, has received a $7.25 million contract with the IRS to provide taxpayer and…

It's great Microsoft is looking to stop hackers, now if only they could fix their windows environments and the constant patches.

Security Kung Fu: Security vs. Compliance. Josh, I have been reading what you have been posting and it is very informative and appreciated. We are in the process of re-structuring our infrastructure and security teams. I have passed a lot of this information on to them. The last item on the Five tips is very helpful and…

Come Cyber Monday, we don't care, we just pull the plug and hope for the best and let somebody else worry about it. Besides that I am taking the day off..........

I like your overall analysis and you are correct when you say that we the users need to make sure we keep you informed of our ideas that can help make the product better for all. I also agree that even though we may want something badly we can't always get what we want, but if we try sometime you just might find that…

DEZ, how ironic that you are talking about security and we find out that there has been possibly one of the biggest data breaches in the US with Equifax. Is nothing sacred anymore?

Think about it, if you were in Texas, you would probably want the X-box as well, so I say "No X-Box for you", but you can have soup on the side.
