Makes sense but couldn't find anything concrete so say either way if it does get rid of it. Is there anyway to confirm the dependency is removed post upgrade so that one i start uninstalling the system doesn't crumble beneath me? Thank you for the speedy reply, i wasn't expecting it so quickly so apologies to others i may…

Great news, although that does make something that happened me to yesterday more interesting... Did a fresh install of 12.4 on my test system which went smoothly but when i did the install for an APE it complained of a missing file (SSCERuntime_x86-ENU), i found a copy to put in the folder and everything continued. Digging…

Also try dropping an email to TechnlcalSupportFeedback@support.com The mailbox is monitored and useful for escalating if you don't receive a timely response.

Interestingly after comparing the files (going cross eyed doing it) i couldn't find the differences but i did find this. Running the pre-flight check on the main poller directly came back clean, i was running it from an AWS before and to this day still tells me i have two pollers in an inconsistent state. As the main…

Thanks, I'll dig into this further and see what i can find missing, interestingly i actually decommissioned one of the affected engines yesterday. when i run the test this morning i still have two servers reporting differences but one of them was fine previous. Will continue to investigate but appreciate the feedback.

Nope but i did pick the OLV option when running the checks, may try it without and see if it makes a difference. Thanks

I cracked this one last week, not near my laptop for a few days but will try and post something early next week for you. It's all possible but took a bit of fiddling in our lab instance to get right.

Any news on this making it into production? We are just about to leverage the same functionality and have found the same thing in 4.8.1 and in the RC for 4.9. Also found that the password is displayed in the info/debug logs in the allocate workflow.

Mine had been quiet for a few weeks and then today i get in and bang all but two pools is red again... Supports answer was to recreate the pools due to an erroneous record in the database but it still happens.
-
Phew.... I'm not the only one All seemed to start for me when i upgraded to 12.4 and around 3am they fail. I now have two custom query widgets on my dashboard to keep an eye on the pools (queries below). When i get a failed pool i have to restart the HA service on the standby and then the primary 20 seconds later, any…

Would creating a VIP on a load balancer with the web server in the pool work for you? That way you can have the load balancer do the logging and output it to where you need it.

Thanks, it felt like a bug rather than a fault with our setup. Can we share case numbers so that support can turn the two together to give it some more weight with the Dev's?
-
Sorry to drag this one up.. I'm seeing high CPU on my additional web servers, how were you about to identify that it was the groups query hurting your database and website load times? I have a large number of groups but they are only displayed on a couple of pages, i might remove them to see if it helps my problem. Dave

We have four additional web servers spread across two continents without issues (we don't have the primary poller in the load balanced pool to keep the load off the server). What i'm trying find though is if there is a way a non-admin can identify which web server they are using, occasionally we see intermittent issues…

tdanner strikes again Quick search to find a bulk volume delete method and this post appears from 2012, 2 minutes later and boom all my bad volumes are gone. Thank you!

Thanks, Been playing with this on a test system today and cracked the changes for SNMP V2 although was using SWQL studio to updates the necessary tables rather than swis. SNMP V3 is my next task and then need to crack the PowerShell side of it so I can build it into my scripts. The business want the device monitored asap…

I just ran into this error as well but i was in the Nodes.CustomPropertyValues table trying to add additional entries to a "restrict value" table. It seems some tables are game and some not, is there a way to identify which is which without trial and error?
-
If you like to keep your log files lean and mean bear in mind that the nightly database maintenance will impact this, You need to find a happy medium of white space in your DB and logs to account for daily stats tables and other daily tasks.

Same here, pretty smooth coupled with the usual bumps.

We have the same problem with so much data it's impossible to view cleanly. I ended up creating views each with a number of custom queries that filter down the F5 data for specific applications.
-
There would definitely be some value in being able to do this in a future release. WMI across a WAN will swiss cheese any firewall rule set and the capability to point to multiple instances would put it on par with SCOM's capabilities especially for a heavy SAM deployment.

Got the studio installed but had to a small fight with the PowerShell module as my sever doesn't have internet access. Had to get the nupkg file from the gallery and install it manually. Looks good so far.

Thanks ding

Thanks jpaluch for checking, will try and get it logged as a bug.

Bug is still there in 12.4 as well. it had always bugged me that i changed the names and they weren't reflected in all areas, i didn't realise how bad it was until l ran your select query and found over 2000 node entries ( i took your interface update and changed it to a select and have 30 entries). I'm torn between…

tdanner I'm seeing a problem where a user with the IPAM operator role can update a record and custom property through the UI but if they use the SDK they get access denied when trying to perform a CRUD operation on a IPNode. Tried a few combinations on a test user account elevating the IPAM rights and it will only allow…

Thanks for the suggestion. Agree it's probably part of becoming general properties in the core product, the user workaround at the moment is to change the record back to used to remove the entry and then change it back. If they need to change in bulk then your workaround is definitely a good idea but need to check it works…

How about one of these 4 Channel Relay Card with Ethernet Connection - VM204 - UK Automation you could splice the usb cable through one of the relays and then use the API VM204-Firmware/api_reference.shtml at master · Velleman/VM204-Firmware · GitHub with an GET/POST action on your alert.
