just to be clear, you need a report about data that is not in the IPAM database, right?
-
IPAM does not support Agent Polling so I think you should have posted this under NPM or SAM
-
UDT is to detect Endpoint Devices. If you are monitoring the status of the Interfaces, it will be for NPM. But to quickly answer your question, check the link below. support.solarwinds.com/.../Create-a-Universal-Device-Poller-UnDP
-
You need to add a layer device that contains the most complete information on the ARP table. usually the core router and the Gateway. Then enable the layer 3 polling for that device in UDT.
-
The list resources page is for the NPM/Orion. It has nothing to do with the UDT.
-
that would depend on the polling interval you set when you add the DNS server. as m_roberts says, by default it's 4 hours.
-
check the IPAM_Audit logs
-
I would like to have this one too
-
Yes, it should be filed with MAC addresses. The question here is that do you see the expected MAC address for your AD User? if so, what is the IP? Did you try to find the IP on UDT? It could very well be, but I haven't got that issue before.
-
Yes, did you happen to check the ARP table of the Core router? first, check where you actually expect the User data to appear. Verify if it is on the UDT MAC endpoints. If it is then look for the MAC Address on the core router ARP table. If it is not there, then that is why it does correlate the IP to the MAC endpoint.
-
It looks like Solarwinds change this as I have checked on my end and it seems that option is automatically selected. You no longer have the need to tick on the boxes.
-
At this point you are simply speculating. Did you check the ARP table of your Layer 3 device? does it contain the MAC Address that is supposed to be connected to an IP address? You are simply looking at it as such that it should get the Information from the DC and the MAC endpoints just simply needs to be detected. There…
-
find the layer 3 device that has the most complete ARP table and then monitor it on UDT and then enable layer 3 Polling. Mostly it would be your core router or your gateway. Try putting in both.
-
Is this what you are looking for? support.solarwinds.com/.../Export_subnets_via_Database_Manager
-
You need to check which of your devices contains the ARP table wherein it can get the IP Addresses. usually it would be your core router or gateway. Just monitor it on the UDT and then enable the layer 3 Polling.
-
Do you get data via the User Inventory? The way it works is that it needs to get the layer 2 information and then DC Polling(User Inventory). however, in order to connect the two, the IP Address should also be present. If it is missing that information, it will not be able to connect all those 3 information.
-
If correct devices showns on the switch page, it should show on the report. Unless they are not an actively connected to the switch as the report is about Active Endpoint.
-
Solarwinds corrected this by repackaging the new installer
-
what's the error?
-
it can definitely detect endpoints. I'm just not sure if Zero Clients MAC Address is on the MACAddressPrefix table.
-
Have you tried monitoring directly the Networking device instead of monitoring an upstream device?
-
I can see this happening often. Usually it can be caused by EngineID not being correct or by wrong/corrupted SNMP credentials. support.solarwinds.com/.../Update-EngineID-on-the-IPAM-Module
-
Does it have Admin Role or IPAM or do they have Custom Role and Admin on the said subnet?
-
Yes, but if the Automatic Subnet scanning is turned on, it will be cleared out with the correct one or become NULL.
-
I'll probably try to do uninstall and re-install.

If the version you currently have is possible to be upgraded to the latest version, yes. For example. You have NPM 12.4 and want to do a migration and then on the new machine it will be on newest version, yes, that is possible.
-
not sure is HF2 is already out, but usually, when a hotfix is released, they also update the online and offline installer so that when you do the install, they will be included. You can also tell by looking at the Installation boxes as it will tell you the version and hotfix that will be installed.

Maybe you can give this link a try. SNMP Queue Failures

OK. In replying to that thread specifically created for feedback, everybody would be able to see and weigh in how it is being handled by the one who created the thread. If they do not address your concern, someone might post if the thread is still alive, and so on.
