we have 10 49" samsung tvs connected to thin clients that connects to a virtual server that sees them as additional screens. Works well but recommend testing we use a third party tool monitors anywhere.

I'm with neomatrix1217 on his train of thought, it is probably a minor issue, with something more important not working. When I started with solarwinds there was all kinds of random issues. Your first steps should be to get it upto date, that process will fix it along the way. Also give u a better understanding of the…

Im looking at API using the get and post in the actions of an alert. Using Manage engine as the ticket system. So would see if any of them have instructions for there api

Its not a downgrade, 4 will stay just a tick box exercise I would be amazed if you have to restart.

Which certification

Also we use it to confirm the app pools are started after our maintenance window and it automatically starts them. Solarwinds is not just for alerts and reporting this was happening at 5am and parts of the site were down till 830 when someone got in and realised. worth every penny get unlimited license, think of the cost…

i can confirm it looks like it only goes back a month in the config management but I have more in the folder location. Maybe a feature request needed with a search function so they dont have to show them all or a calendar so you can pick the date.

is there a reason why you use snmp to monitor a windows node? I would only monitor a windows node via snmp as a last resort wmi being first then agent then snmp.
-
Do you get the same error when doing orion server intiated rather than agent initiated?
-
Our default is always have a second. Patching, page file log files. Best to do it now or add a d move page file at bare minimum
-
You can monitor Linux but needs windows to run Solarwinds

Nice so do we have to wait till we have upgraded to 12.3 or does it work with 12.2 upgrading next week edit: just re-read your small print

Additional polling engines may help also using agents everywhere. Stay away from wmi I guess.
-
think you can set multiple node polling from manage nodes select them and edit them all change the polling frequency. so live 5mins preprod 10min test 15min But i don't think you can tell them when to poll as you could probably bring the system to a halt if you could. Why do you want to do this?
-
My F5s say there all in sync but solarwinds says they need a manual sync?
-
Make sure you have a local admin account. Set solarwinds services to manual restart server. login with local admin and set services to auto but don’t start. right click Configurator wizard run as admin
-
This will be firing based on thresholds set by the user that added it or the defaults in the template. Looks like this was manually created "PPFOBOITNEMTS01" seems local to your environment. In the application can you see any red, maybe show a screenshot?
-
Not upgraded yet but I assume you can list resources on existing nodes? i am also on SQL 2016, what version of npm did you upgrade from? thanks
-
I think the easiest way and will have the least amount of impact would be once the new server is ready use the old name and ip to save losing data and not having to tell all your clients you have a new ip address. Or have to tell security to add new ip to allow list. I would follow this one Migrate SolarWinds products to a…

Open database manager on your main polling engine. Go to the websites table in there u should see the server name and hopefully your f5 url. click edit the table change your f5 url to primary and the server name to additional if the url isn’t in there just add a row and add it. i have this but with an additional front end…

I have done this recently using bits of what people of said above using custom propertys, creating a dashboard using swsql rather than reports as a starting point. Then moving on to alerts when we were happy we were not going to get thousands of alerts. Then only alerted on critial and used wallboard to keep an eye on…
