Are you using the out of the box alert "Email me when a Node goes down" as this fires on 1 event change so if there's a blip it will fire the alert instantly, if so you could duplicate the alert and adjust it to fire if down for two polls on all devices or just this node. Yeah should be a second trigger if not would add it? Also have you tried simulating the alert to see if it still fires correctly. If has variables, the fields they are pulling from are they correct and not been changed accidently?

got there in the end had to remove wpm of a couple of polling engines as well. but done...phew lets see if its fixed the issues i had diagnostics going to support under ticket 00130516 as they requested

I clicked no see ticket 00130516 support couldnt work out what was wrong, the work around was to remove netflow do the upgrade and reinstall the old version of netflow This has happened to another MVP also

If you were trying to reduce the space used maybe create a query for each app so you would get rid of the name column and just have the health and availability icons and change the title from mail server to email.

That seems pretty alien to me, is the business asking for those exact alerts. As I have worked in Infrastructure (3rd line) and Support (2nd line) and that seems very granular and very close to the edge Now the way i have done it is not 100% and theres room for improvement. but.. Yep no option to select products on online or offline installer. Support say something wrong as it was thinking I still had 4.2.3 when actually it’s 4.2.4 so wouldn’t give me the next button. Fix is to uninstall Netflow do the upgrade and hope I can install the old version again not got much hope at the min.

so its dns, could be the dns suffix on the boxes not got the right or any dns servers in. But putting the ip in directly should of worked in the add node?

are you using https by any chance with a valid certificate. we use ie by default and certificate works but health page doesnt. if i open chrome using same url where the certifcate doesnt work the health page works!!! removal of the KB4103720 seemed to do it. but add nodes just stopped working had to reboot primary polling engine and web front end to get it to work

Your right but I think I have read somewhere if going from a previous version to contact them (support) I assume for the correct versions. when you say a new database in 2, do you mean you have an empty new database new servers?

Looks good, I would try network atlas then you can add your own icons and i think you can get them to change just not sure if its the whole icon? Or create your own html and pull/scrape from solarwinds? then add the source to solarwinds. when using links just remember to use from /orion...
