  • I'm aware that there was an issue with ASA devices specifically but it could impact other devices as well. The ASA was supposed to have been fixed in the latest HF6, so might be worth checking you're on the latest release and then checking it again. Otherwise, log a case with support giving information about the type of…
  • Hi mistik84 I would suggest looking at the connection time from your APE to your Primary Server. This article in Success Center might help. Failed to download or run the Scalability Engine installer from the main server - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Su…

  • Hi Stuart, When you are running the Network Discovery, make sure you select the appropriate Polling Engine from the first Tab (Network) as below: This ensures the Sonar Discovery runs from the polling engine you select to avoid any Firewall issues. Regards David
  • Hey Adam, What about using a Custom Property on the Node itself, and then inserting the email address into that? Then use the Custom Property Variable in the TO field of the Alert Action? Cheers David
  • Try this template: Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 5650TD Template It might need some work for your specific model, but it should at least show you the method used to get past the Ctrl + Y (<Command Name="PreCommand" Value="${CTRL+Y}"/>)
  • Not sure if that was a bug, but checking on NPM12.3 and account limitations are honoured in the search.
  • I'm not sure if that's something Compliance cant check off the top of my head, but I will test it in my office lab later and get back to you. However would it not be something you can check via a report looking for Software Version?
  • Brian, How would you obtain this information if you were connected to the device? sh ver?
  • New environment still being built out, so it's not the right color yet but slowly getting there. My biggest concern is going to be the number of devices, as I've heard that there is a limit to the number of devices you can pin to a map. At the moment I only have approx. 4500 devices imported still with another 6000-8000 to…
  • Is this going to enable Dameware sessions to external users ie I am a consultant and would like to DW to a customers SolarWinds Server I currently use tools such as GoToMeeting or WebEx. Could this replace those?
  • No real-time polling data isn't collected it is cached in a Cortex database. So that data isn't viewable on the dashboard.
  • It sounds as if it is saying it will check Percentage as long as the Absolute threshold hasn't breached. So if you have 20% or 200ms it will only trigger 20% if that isn't more than 200ms. I could be wrong.
  • Having looked at it properly this morning I can see why your struggling. You are looking for StatusLED, but Orion.APM.Application doesn't have one, it has StatusDescription, so make your line: '/Orion/images/StatusIcons/Small-' + ACP.Application.StatusDescription + '.gif' AS [_IconFor_ApplicationName] OR…
  • I’m on my iPad so I can’t check, but I suspect it’s because you need a TOSTRING At the front of the syntax for your Icon. Also, Is there a StatusLED field in ApplicationCustomProperties? From memory the last time I did app status it was a different location for the images and I had to add the .gif myself. I will check…

  • Hi Ismo if you go to Settings > All Settings > UDT Settings > Manage Ports From that screen, you should see a list of ALL the Ports in your environment and it will show if it is Monitored Yes/No - You can simply select the ports you wish to add to UDT and select 'Monitor'. Equally you can also remove ports from this screen…

  • Hi rschroeder, If you know which devices you want to monitor for you can use the search field in the top right to narrow down which nodes are displayed then when you select all it only selects ports that are part of that selection. Or you can use Group By and pick a Custom Property to narrow down your selection choice: My…
  • Hi sayalirevalkar yes it is fine for them to be different, we have many customers who have deployed an SQL 2016 just for NTA with Orion still on SQL 2012 / 2014. One word of warning I would give, in terms of future proofing yourself, is that Orion Platform 2018.4 (Ships with NPM12.4) will require Windows Server 2016 and…
  • You might be better off putting your Primary Polling Engine in the Cloud as well to reduce the latency between your MPE and DB, then use APE's to poll the on-prem DC.
  • I would suggest checking all of your SolarWinds schedules to make sure there are no conflicts as it could just be queuing up. The other problem could be the delay with your SMTP Server at the pre-determined time. I've seen it one or two times, but never really put much effort into it as the reports are not really time…

  • Hi - EOC Support notes do state that you can't upgrade and that you need to install fresh on a new server. As you mention about removing IIS etc did you start from a fresh OS or did you just uninstall and install the new version? You cannot install EOC 2.0 on the same server as a previous version. Because EOC 1.x and EOC…
  • Those screenshots are from two different alerts. The subject fields are different. I’d start by making sure your triggering the right alert.
  • Hi, The SolarWinds Offline installer installs IIS and hosts it's own website locally on the Polling Engine. This can be launched locally on the host server or from a machine internally on the LAN. Whilst there are integration features that use internet connectivity such as Content Exchange, World Maps, Online License…
  • Could it still be an Active Alert? You should clear any active alerts for Nodes that are muted. Muting only prevents NEW Alerts from being triggered, but an existing one can still fire off actions if they are repeated, delayed or escalation actions.
  • These are only suggestions, I can't comment on if they will work in your scenario: 1) Instead of mapping your Nodes onto the Map, try mapping just your Groups which would reduce the number of pins on the map (I wonder if the limit is based on the number of pins rather than the number of Nodes). 2) You could cut the map…
