Same issue here. Lot's of warnings about repeated queries even on stock pages. It's killing performance. Also warnings about more stylesheets than IE can handle. Node details runs a lot of queries that are not needed because of the node type. Development has a lot of optimizing to do.

The scaleability engine information is stored in the database. You can just change the name of the poller or your nodes will be orphaned. Doesn't matter if it is an agent for not. Just go manage nodes, mass select the nodes that will change, and click "edit Properties" at the top of the grid.

Same here and for many others. Most likely your MSMQ's are filling up and can't write to the database in a timely matter. Too many bugs in this to count. We are considering wiping everything and going back, or moving to something else. Support has not been able to solve these issues for over a month now.

There is a bug, that if you have the check box checked to enable upgrading of agents, then the discovery fails at the end. Uncheck this box and the discovery works. I was told this is fixed in the next release.
