I'm just a little confused. The script is really cool and you obviously put a lot of time and effort into it. It probably satisfies your needs, or did at one time. It might even work well for a small shop that can't afford a commercial tool. But I agree with byrona, scripts can be very detrimental if someone doesn't know…

While I don't disagree, it is technically accurate. You only configured 1 /30 in that /23, and it's 100% full. If you go ahead and configure the remaining available space with /30s, and the rest are empty, now you have an accurate /23.

I'm really surprised this hasn't seen more votes! Cisco has an integration between ISE, StealthWatch and FireSight that is really slick. Orion modules are already collecting a ton of the pieces, it's just a matter of putting it all together. D

And they flagged it as "What we're working on" before I could vote.

I like to lead the conversation down a path. Are the "quadrants" a good starting point, only to list out the participants. Does making a change just because the new manager doesn't know how to use the existing solution, or does the new manager need to be open to training and learning the existing. Is there a viable ROI to…

I'd like to use this feature to tell me when I need to upgrade code. D

W10 Home or Pro?

Didn't mean to jinx you my friend!

My counterpart found a workable solution. Instead of using the node details link, create a "custom HTML" resource on the NOC view. Then use this iframe code: <span style="font-family: 'courier new', courier; font-size: x-small;"><iframe src="<Your SharePoint Doc…

Great idea! I'd like to add a "Group By" option as well. I have "groups" of properties for different reasons (Asset info, location info, etc.)

All, I'm looking for a little bit of info. I see from above, some are and some aren't having install issues. I also know that the 10.3 to 10.4 upgrade was less than desirable with regards to custom properties vanishing, and the NCM integration causing pain. Has anyone seen any other issues along those lines? I prefer to…

This request is a couple years old, and I apologize for responding so late in the game...additionally let me say, I've not voted on this request either way! However, my network logic is having a hard time with this request. I completely agree with the 6800 comment, yes please, it is an access layer platform! But the…

Where was this feature request YESTERDAY! I just changed 50 custom properties over 100s of devices the old fashioned way...manually! D

It is never a good day when you lose someone that meant so much to so many! However, his legacy will benefit us all for a long time to come. For everyone out there, I plan to lift a drink in his honor and to celebrate his life, not his passing...you are welcome to join me.

I'm not disagreeing with the request, I voted it up. I was just trying to offer an alternative. D

WOW! July 30 - November 10....that's a long re-imaging process. HAHAHAHA

I don't always agree on the documentation side. I document as much as I can, when I can...but typically, there are projects waiting on the sidelines and when you finish one, you have to immediately start the next. This cycle doesn't provide time to do a complete set of docs per project, and no matter how important it is,…

+4000 votes please!

Are you using Cisco gear? Do you have VNQM? I have a couple similar situations like yours and I use IP SLA to get that alert. D

Cloud (Private, Public, Hybrid, Mushroom!), Converged, Hyperconverged, ITIL, DevOps...etc. I'm so with you on this. And then we all sit around the campfire, talking about it, justifying their existence only to sit back and laugh when it falls away quietly into the abyss...only to be reborn/renamed something else. For those…

I agree with Jfrazier, so the functionality would be great if there was a way to enable and disable, either globally or on a per subnet basis. D

Kiwi has this already, I'm thinking Alert Central, NPM, SAM, in fact, all the Orion modules should have this feature added. Great feature request!

See, you made me break out the dictionary. It's been so long since I've needed a dictionary, I had to rely on spellchecker to spell it correctly! This pretty much sums up Spock's career to me. And by definition, this might also rule out several "sidekicks" in this tournament! Sidekick | Definition of Sidekick by…

Nice to see I'm still relevant. But after a year and half, does that mean I have precognition and I should open more "futuristic" feature requests? bumpsquad

Absolutely a fair statement!! However, why upgrade if you can't upgrade everything for all the cool new features. But I've also been considering that option. D

planglois, While I agree, CDP is important for t-shotting APs, the WLC doesn't report back CDP info for APs. And since the info you are seeing is pulled from the WLC (not the AP), it's not available. 2 solutions for this that I can think of: * Static IP the AP, and add it as a node. * CDP on the switches. There's not…

That's 2 hours of your life you will never get back! Don't bother.

This is a pretty old post, but a lot of it is still relevant. The current state of Wireless monitoring needs to be reviewed and reinvented (IMHO). The list of requests above, a new one, and my adds: * Make Machine Type of access point, the actual Machine Type and not the Machine Type of the Wireless Controller.* This still…
