Well, after some additional investigation, it does seem to be quite intermittent. W10 Home, seems to be consistent and not working, but W10 Pro seems to have a better success rate, but still not entirely successful. I'm still digging in.

Rob, Would VTP and GVRP support be something for the future? VTP support would be helpful to me, but others that don't use Cisco, might like GVRP support. I know others have requested STP support, this probably falls in line with that type of functionality. D

The only current way I can think of is to use the "User Links" resource. But you are limited to 10 entries and if someone ever renames a file, the link breaks. That said, I'm willing to bet that also has a character limit of 255. A much better method would be a resource that lists the contents of an external folder…

To take this a bit further, I would like to see all the above on 1 display...just like the virtualization summary view included in NPM.

vinod.mohan, I'm a little curious. You mentioned a DPI probe above, does this imply that SolarWinds is getting into the appliance arena? Or are you going to leverage AVC, mentioned by jswan? As you mentioned, it has always been my experience that DPI required an in-line probe or SPAN port configuration. How are you getting…
